I bought one. Fun to use all my vintage lenses in original focal length! I wish it had 6k 16x9 at 6k to cut with other BM in multi cam shoot. Open gate should be fun for anamorphic when I settle on one...

Using the same camera/sensor is always the easiest but yeah of course if you want to match cameras they all have the same color science so it’s easier to match than a different camera system

Hi Geoff, fantastic video and thanks for bringing this awesome deal to our attention! Quick question, I am still on the fence about this camera based on a bunch of posts I've seen complaining about the low light/noise/banding issues. I currently own a Pocket 4K and was planning to make that my B cam, with the 6K Full Frame as A cam, and my work is almost exclusively dark/moody (think "The Batman", but always in a controlled/lit studio/narrative environment). Have you had any issues so far with the low light and would you recommend this camera for my use case? Thank you very much for your help, stay awesome!

I think that will be a solid combo, the 4k may slightly outperform the full frame in low light but the dynamic range is similar and the cinema 6k is full frame vs micro four thirds. For the price right now they complement each other really great.

insane price for FF raw 6K, how do you manage the L mount ? Metabones to EF ?

Sigma makes the best adapter called an MC-21 just make sure to get the EF one as they make a sigma SA version too and people confuse it thinking it’s just sigma EF glass which SA is the old sigma mount

Yes it just depends on what SSD you use what compressions will work

I did hop on the sale as well. I already had DaVinci Resolve studio, but I sold it at a reduced price for somebody that wanted it. So again the value is still pretty good to those that may already have Resolve Studio

Considering you can find canon c200s now days for 1800 used this camera is a flop from ergonomics and run in gun only thing that is good for this is it’s full frame that has terrible low light and that it’s 6k but truly all you need is 4k tbh

Media is expensive Battery life is trash No internal nd Needs a adapter cause usually everyone has either e mount or ef or now rf Also no auto focus Needs some kind of filter to make the colors look normal just like the 4k and og 6k I forgot what it was since I haven’t owned the bmpcc4k in a couple years but yea the c200 is a absolute beast! I would never go back to black magic unless they dropped something like the 6k pro with auto focus and a box style body

The one thing I’ll disagree on is the media, compared to other cards cfexpress B is much cheaper. It’s cheaper than cfast 2.0 too

Just got the L version of this camera and finishing rigging it up today. Yeah it ain't the best "cinema" camera money can buy, but it's the best deal for the money I had.

Yeah for sure I said that in my newest video it’s not the best cinema camera out but for the deal at $1575 it is the best value cinema camera for that price
