This video is a multiplayer PVP highlight compilation of me, Stevebud flying the Spitfire Mk.IXe in the game (IL-2 Sturmovik: Great Battles).
There are some really amazing dogfights in this compilation that show the incredible strengths of the Spitfire Mk.IXe. This video also demonstrates some great teamwork as I'm joined by my friend 49Snowman and others on a number of flights.
All planes in this video are real players playing on the Combat Box multiplayer server.
This video was a labor of love and I really hope you enjoy it. Any comments or feedback about it would be greatly appreciated.

This is an excellent edit, probably one of the best IL-2 gameplay videos I've seen. The choice of soundtrack is also great. Apart from that, superb flying and marksmanship!

Yeah you can really tell, the Mk 9 is a beast - have you tried the Mk 14? At the beginning I disliked it cause it felt so different, but it's pure speed is growing on me Btw that shot at 16:30 where you overshot just as the 109s propeller stopped was sheer Hollywood level stuff. @@stevebudspwnzone

Yes the 14 is great but you play it like a p51 and stay fast and never fully commit to a dogfight. The Mk.IX combines the best handlining with the best armament and that's why we fly it over the 14. @@Alexandros11

Absolutely the best IL2 video I have seen. Great editing and the circles would certainly help someone less familiar with the game see what is developing. Great shots and teamwork also. Top marks Stevebud!

Format is awesome! Comms/Tunes/replay footage all seamlessly integrated. Very enjoyable to watch. Wish more content providers spent as much time as you do editing. Thanks - Great Flying! Long range deflection shot at 9:36 is amazing

Hey thanks for the wonderful comment! I spent 3 months making this video and I have no regrets. I'm actually really touched by the way everyone has been reacting to it on RU-vid and within the flight sim community through discord. I was going to take a break from making flight sim content like this but everyone's positivity has really pumped me up to make more and continue experimenting with new ways to create content around this hobby we all love so much.

Oh also, yes that shot at 9:36 is probably the best shots I've ever taken. If I played the game for 100 years I doubt it would get very many sequences like the one you're referring to.

Hell yeah tyty! It's definitely hard to follow your teammates but you get the hang of it after a while. Communication is key.

@@stevebudspwnzonefully agreed! Communication is key, and the wingman has to know what to do to support...something I'm still learning everyday in various games. (P.S. Latebird and Alexandros brought me here and it was worth it!)

Yep the video and your editing skills are as good as it gets mate and the graphics are excellent too - no sign of anti-aliasing etc. Great flying and support via comms between you and your wingman, your marksmanship is up there with the best and last but not least, your defensive flying is exceptional. Very impressive. Well done and thanks for all of the effort that must have gone into it.

Thanks man! I really appreciate your comment. It took three months to make this video but I think it was worth it. I tried as hard as I could with this edit to show all the things that make multiplayer flight sims so exciting. Stay tuned - I've started gathering footage for the next video, it should be even better!

I'm not sure about the Yak 1b I haven't really given it a proper try. It doesn't have a lot of ammo compared to the spit but your comment has me curious. I kinda want to try it out now.

I use a 2080ti but it's a few years old at this point. I'm going to upgrade it soon for sure. I get pretty good performance when combat box isn't super full but my rig definitely struggles in a full server.
