In the mange Shidou appeared a bit soonoer. They actually left out the game between shidou and kunigami in the losers round, where kunigami lost and reo got chosen.

12:43 ALRIGHT ! CONSIDERING REO'S MY FAVORITE CHARACTER, I GOTTA TALK ABOUT THIS LINE. In the manga, when asked about Kunigami, Reo doesn't say anything and just looks off to the side, probably feeling upset at the fact that he was eliminated (because let's remember that Kunigami was there for Reo when he was in his depressed arc). Reo literally does not talk for the entire scene and Shidou is the one who speaks first. For some reason, they changed it in the anime, and it just makes Reo look like a douchebag, so I really don't know why they felt the need to add this line :/ .

although it was definitely a douchebag line, i don't think it made him impersonate one. he is clearly frustrated and sad about the situation. I think this speech is kind of to show that Reo is still impacted and in this bad phase. I felt like that line was him trying to come up with an excuse for losing and letting the kunigami go home and it's not because he really believes it. (he even looks pretty guilty)

Julien Loki = Kylian Mbappe, Adam Blake = Harry Kane, Pablo Cabassos = Paolo Dybala, Leonardo Luna = Marco Asencio, Dada Silva = Hulk (personally I think Fred fits better than Hulk, but to each their own) and Noel Noa = Robert Lewandowski.
