this shit makes you feel like you're about to fall off (but there was some hot chick sitting next to me so i tried my best not to squeal and piss myself lmao).
@@jormics The Green Lantern was modified in accordance with California law in order to prevent the seats from freely flipping or something along those lines (note: it still flips... so idk). This made it jerky and consequently hurt people. As such, people hate it. It's being moved to La Ronde Montreal and those laws are not applicable there. Hopefully they fix the seat mechanisms before the reinstallation.
@@TheRobertsonTech the modifications were to make the trains heavier, which made the trains spin more and cause them to stay upside down when they arrived back at the station. Therefore they adjusted how much the seats could spin, leading to a much worse ride.
I rode it for the first time two weeks ago from my friends urging me to. But since we were three people, no fourth person sat on the second seat. It was honestly scary and insane. (also, never ride it if you've never been on a roller coaster before)
Out of all the coasters at Magic Mountain, this was the one I absolutely did NOT want to ride again. Freakin' painful getting dunked on your head at the end. The sudden blood rush gave me a headache for a while.
This one is pretty fun. But sometimes you spin more than other times, so some rides can be pretty boring while others more fun, you can kinda reinforce the spinning if 2-4 people work together. However you can really hurt your balls if getting an unlucky landing/stop in the end.
oh shit, I went on this ride one time AND I HONESTLY THOUGHT THAT IT WOULDNT FREAK ME OUT AT ALL AND IT WOULD BE FUN BEFORE I WENT ON THE RIDE BUT I WAS FUCKING TERRIFIED AFTER I RIDED IT.
Bob Schneider The seats are loose to you could spin like crazy one time, ride the next upside down and the third completely differently. It all depends on the weight of the people in the ride so you can never predict what will happen.
Ebba Lagerkvist Thanks for the response. I'd be willing to try it *once* to see how/if I like it. There's a clone of this called Green Lantern at Six Flags Magic Mountain in Valencia, CA. I'd be willing to give it a go. I'm a big roller-coaster fan, but this is a bit...different. Oh well, I will try it sometime when I can do so. Thanks again for the reply!
I've rode a couple of these, I just think they are pretty uncomfortable and not something I'd be too interested in queuing for a second ride ... sorry ! :-(
