they had that huge building and didnt know what to do with it when the zeppelin stuff was canceled, so i believe they found one of the best uses instead of turning it into a ruin.
I´ve been there twice in ocotber when it start´s to get cold. and this video isn´t really able to show you what it is. It´s amazing and beautiful ... and hot. I was able to have a two days trip to there with overnight in one of this beautiful rooms and when it´s getting dark and lonelyer than that is where the fun starts ;-) and the natural light comes through large windows at the beach/sea side all over the day, which gives it a great feeling.
lol that’s exactly what I think when you live in Germany that’s perfect place 😂 If you’re living in Caribbean or Bali Well maybe you won’t appreciate this wonderful place
I used to work part time as a tourist guide with a Norwegian agency educating teens on the Holocaust and the cold war era, and we always used to stop for a layover at Tropical Island from Krakow to Berlin. I don't know how the tents are cause tour guides always get their own AC rooms. But apparently, it was not something for the parents travelling with the classes. But size wise, it is insane! I would travel there with my kids in the winter time just to get the nice feeling of a warm place since I hate the cold weather of Norway in the winter. But it's not comparable with the Dominican Republic in the winter. And it's close to as expensive for a week as a week to the Caribbeans or on any of the cruise liners. Actually, it feels a bit like a cruise liner as one is "confinded" in a certain area. But to get there it's way faster and lots of fun for children and teens. But for adults alone, maybe not so much.
The whole thing is so non-german, Im still suprised we really built it. Cant imagine the bureaucracy behind getting a permit to realize such a project, in mf Germany...
I wonder why other countries have not done this, especially in Europe to bring a different climate to your own country, even if it is on a small scale, it's still a cool idea, and looking at the one in Germany, it looks quite big and serves a lot of people. I do wonder what the cost of building such a place is and running cost after that.
