Just wanted to say that this has to do with equivalences of row space! I watched this video a few nights ago to help with homework, and we’re actually going over this concept in class right now. This method also allows you to quickly determine if something is linearly dependent or independent, and allows you to easily find a basis.

what do I write if I get 3 pivot in R4?

when you say span a plane in R3, does that mean it spans a two dimensional shape in 3 dimensional space? so those vectors DO NOT span r3 correct?

Wait, but the theorem says Column A spans Rm if every row has a pivot, then wouldnt a 3x3 matrix with a 2 pivots be in r2?
