In my first Set game I built him: Golden Blade Katana Stone Cutting Deathbringer Bloodforge Crusher This build worked amazing for me

I might have to try frostbound, so far when I've played him solo it feels so difficult to do anything with the ult.

Glad did nothing there, look at the values, it procked once,but then all those heals wer due to innate ult heals

I had that thought too, but in the damage log, Crusher is recognized as a source of damage on its own so it should have appeared as such... He's probably right that it's a bug, Set just released

"Attack speed ax item" is executioner or exe and wind demon is the attack speed and crit chance item ( though poison star is in the same tree). Also I would suggest if you are going to build crit, always build deathbringer since it's a very efficient crit item that is the most effective item for crit

Michael Mamba15 I think that was his I’ll that healed him so much, the sandstorm got the 4 marks and he heals almost instantly, but it did help out a bit

When you upload a video, it takes a while to process. If the channel chooses to post the video before the processing is finished, the quality is low for a while before the video is fully processed. EDIT: Process, not render

Use him defensively and support based to help your team Aura items help a alot I think

I have been running warrior tabi, blackthorn hammer, then situational defence, as a bruiser that seems to work well, you can also do warrior/talaria/reinforced shoes, gantlet of thebes, Sov, heartward, into auras/health/defence for more of a support build. If you really want to learn builds dukesloth sometimes does build guides for roles, or check out higher ranked streamers and see what they build on their gods. Edit: I would highly suggest cooldown items for hours since his cds are very long

Public Test Server, the patch is released early for players to test the balance changes and new gods so that they will be better balanced on release

Hydra's isn't really all that great since most of his abilities are at range and don't set up into auto attacks well, also his kit bounces between abilities and auto attacks instead of just weaving autos in for more damage. Look at thanatos for a good example of a good hydra's user, his 1 hard resets his auto attack timer and can be used in close range for a quick aa,1,aa for quick burst, as well as you can do as his 3 is a soft reset and leads well into an auto attack if at melee range, the reason why is it gives you more burst on thanatos, so you can do a 2, aa, 3, aa, 1, aa and that will most likely be able to 100% most squishies. On the other hand set does alot more with using his 2 1 combo to close distance and give good burst and to jump in with his 3 and use aa's to finish the job like you saw at 14:30, he uses the abilities for burst and continuous auto attacks to proc ult on people for sustained damage, I'm sure mast could explain it better but that's the best way I can break it down

Jon Michels and why would Sets 2, AA, 3, AA, 2, AA, 1, aa if still in range not work with hydras? You say “most of his abilities are at range but it’s really only his 1 imo. The 2 is flexible, close range or farther. Unless they don’t reset his autos but I’m pretty sure they do. Plus his kit is very geared towards the stim and aa canceling blends right in and feels very good from the 16 or so games I’ve played with him so far.

@@SuperSepulchure his passive buffs him auto attacking you consistently over auto attack weaving, and I have played a whole 2 games of set so I'm not sure which abilities soft reset, hard reset or don't for his auto attacks. My point was that, if you take Kali for example, yes you can weave autos with her abilities with hydra's for more damage, it's just an inefficient item on her more auto attack focused play style. Same for set, his idea is not to melee range burst you in one go, it's to bring good sustained damage with some decent burst potential. As mentioned Thanatos, he wants to either ult in or run up to you, quick combo one shot you, then run out before being punished. Set can get in a continued fight and constantly deal damage between his ult and passive and deal sustained damage through the fight while Thanatos blows his load then is in danger till his cds come back up. It's more a difference in playstyle then it is capability to weave hydras procs effectively between autos. Another good hydra user is Loki, he one shots the target then leaves the fight with the ability to come back in when his cds are back to maybe make some back line picks or to help clean up the fight

@@cormacc6 been playing him all day getting 3 clones out with max CDR. You can only get 2 charges on the 2. but once you use the 2 the cooldown is 6.6 sec on and 8s clone lifetime. once your 2 is maxed its super easy to get 3 clones out with the 12s lifetime.

PC is always a better experience than console, for starters. Also he has a higher skill cap so he takes some getting used to if you aren't terribly good at the game
