The more I watch this game as a hunter, I am just beyond impressed. It's everything COTW isn't. All they need to do is add bowhunting, and all I need to do is upgrade to series X or PC so I can actually partake. Great video Flinter. 👍

Keep it up so I can watch it while at work. I'm absolutely addicted to this game. Got my first 5 star Mule and 5 star white tail two days in a row. Starting to unlock new areas. I can't wait for future maps and missions

Whitetail 5 stars are evading me too. I had one herd with two 4 star matures that unfortunately died at the same time. Now its full of young bucks that I'm hoping should have good genetics. I like experimenting with easy to access herds. Did the same with some Moose and managed to get a 5 star after letting a 4 star die. This guy was a 4 star adult so I knew he was going to turn 5 eventually.

Oof, I now know how the Classic players and viewer's felt when COTW came out and everyone only wanted you to play that. I will watch what ever you decide to post Flinter. You make quality consistent content that I enjoy watching....I would like to see a cotw hunt for whitetail deer using the techniques you use to hunt them in this game. I don't understand how it is called heard farming in one game and realism in the other. plus it would be cotw content and some of us still want to see.

I think it would be a good addition to this game to be able to harvest the jaw bone and determine the age of the deer. Since they are trying to simulate the science in hunting, that would be a good way for people to understand if their deer were up and coming or going down.

So on ps5 I bought the 308 and my game completely bugged out had to restart then I restarted again and got pretty far then bought the 308 again and my game told me the save corrupted and made me restart again I’m scared to buy the 308 now and I don’t know if I should even try getting it or not. I’m not sure if the most recent update fixed that or not any info on this will be much appreciated

I had a theory on the genetics and how they kinda worked in relation to the star rating but after they did the patch it killed my theory as ive killed several 1 star mature animals thinking they were bad and they ended up being high genetics. One was high 80's like 88.5 but a few were over 90%. A bear i killed the other day was a 2 star mature that was over 98%.... I think its kinda buggy cause I dont think they meant for high genetic animals to be 1 star matures.

It’s not just about stars though, you have to go by the racks (symmetry,deductions,etc). Just because they’re small on the current gen doesn’t mean the next gen won’t be 5 star. Just gives everyone more reason to inspect and take more time on each kill

From one of the devs; “what I can tell you is that wonkiness (asymmetry but it's more than that) in antlers is an intended sign of low fitness. I guess it's subjective what is or isn't impressive but that just looks like a big 1* roe deer and I'm not discounting the possibility that roe deer trophies need to get looked at, I'm just laying out the current design.”-(NRG) michal

I've played the game a lot and it's the main thing on my channel right now. They cannot go past their prime and also sometimes high genetic animals just will never make 5 stars, it' unlikely though. Kind of like a max level not being diamond in COTW. 85% seems to be the minimum genetic potential I've had for a 5 star.

Just yesterday I shot a 4 star mature moose and it ended up having 98% genetics and it for sure would've been 5 star had I left it go a bit longer, I was so upset seeing as yesterday was my first day playing

Be careful. You will see viewers like how well your vids are produced and want more WOTH content but feel free to be more critical of WOTH the game as that is better for them and you. It is easy to lose credibility if not objective enough. Fine line.
