A properly geared v8 usually can get surprisingly good mpg if you know how to drive it. I get worse mpg than my wife in her car (mitsubishi mirage) but I get better mpg in my 97 tahoe on 35s

Tbh I don’t think I’ve ever seen an overland Silverado build, but if you want to see a bunch of overlanders in general for some ideas there is a large overlander meet April 27th in Corona, Ca at Dos Lagos
