From 7 days to Valheim, always some of the best guides around! Thank you for taking the time to make them!

The best loot farming tactic in 1.0 now doesn't involve looting POIs at all. Once you get to the mid-game/motorcycle just drive around the main roads outside of towns in the Wasteland and kill zombie bears and dire wolves. There are tons of them. Red loot bags are substantially buffed in 1.0, and those critters always drop one. You can get 100 magazines/books a night, best tool and weapon drops in the game, and stacks of ammo. Far better than POIs or trader quest rewards, it's almost game-breaking.

Agreed its the best loot farming method. i base in the wasteland from the start. especially since they have nerfed wasteland car loot. looting red bag drops and salvaging all the cars in wasteland gives you enough coin and best loot by far, it by passes all other requirements like poi's and trader quests.

@@jaredhill9700 Um, I don't play on "insane". Is that a litmus test I should subscribe to Jared Hill? Or do you have something specific to refute about how the game mechanics work now compared to pre-1.0? Because that was my f*cking point.

Salvaging skill with an Impact Driver is actually really good at bashing loot containers. In the endgame I usually only carry the impact driver with a dig, iron, wood and stone mod. It gets me through all the blocks in the game fairly quickly and is perfectly servicable at salvaging level 3 if you want to keep your point investment low. I tend to respec for mining, since a few days of mining will give an enormous amount of resources, and then you can get your skill points back.

You can do a nice little cheesy loot grab early if you have a few lockpicks and can find the Ostrich Hotel. It's a Tier 5 POI, but the loot is very easy to get to and the zombies are generally easy to handle at low levels. Take your pick or axe and bust a 1 x 1 block on the right side of the garage door. From the spot you can easily shoot zombies and attract them to the hole and then beat them or spear them to death through the hole. Once done.. you can go inside.. kill the few remaning, get loads of exp and get youself a Tier 5 easy loot stash. Easy peasy.
@Firespark81
@Firespark81 2 месяца назад
I bet there are a ton of t5s and t6s that you can break one block and access all the stuffs. Finding the sweet spot on all these takes a while though. Longer than I expected it too anyway. Figured it would be a fast video. 2 days later it's done lol. Did you know there is over 800 poi's?
@Therunner77452
@Therunner77452 2 месяца назад
@@MrMagyar5 Grover high is similarly easy to grab the loot from. You can literally see it through a door. And the loot is close enough to the door that you can fairly easily get the loot without aggroing ALL the end room zombies and only have to fight 10-15 of them for a nice saucy lil loot grab. I definitely do that every time I see Grover high as a POI for a good double loot as I then leave without even completing the quest and just wanted the easy double loot grab 😂😂 Doubles as a nice way to get a ton of ammo later in the game. Take it as a tier 6 infested and just grab the loot and the legendary tier 6 from the infested cache and only use a fraction of the ammo it would take to clear the POI normally….
@MrMagyar5
@MrMagyar5 2 месяца назад
@@Therunner77452 Indeed! I've run this POI so many times. If you are very careful, you can actually grab all the loot without crossing the threshold and triggering zombies. I actually use Grover High as my test POI for builds. Currently running a Sniper/Perception build with Preacher and Spear. Comparing it to pure Str. It's... interesting. It's good, but even with Fortitude and the perk that reduces damage it's not as tanky as the Raider set for damage reduction. One thing I have found is that the spear is an AMAZING stealth weapon with it's reach. I struggled with machetes to kill zombies with the sneak attack bonus but the spear makes it very easy. Will have to try a new build. The super sneaky spear melee build with Dex/Perception.

Great video! I live a few blocks from the bear den in my current game... I visit regularly with 3 cobblestone blocks and 3 cobblestone scaffolding ladders. I go to the upstairs patio and build a quick and dirty 6 block fighting position where I snipe the sleeping bears. Pretty much everything in the room will run at you and can even me killed with melee. Its just too hard for me to pass up two red bags, plus all the leather the bears drop.

Forgot one of the most accessible ones if you play on the Navezgane map: Bob's boars. They made it harder to get into Grace's cage, but now you can just dig underneath it even when you just start your world and without skills into Miner69'er. It's essentially a burried supplies quest but with actual good loot. Nice video in general though!

When you have access to tier6 loot/weapons and tools you'll never need to grab tier 3 loot. If you're a new character you will not be able to loot t3 like this video You would need a T6 Steel Pick. Costs 6 Steel Tool parts, 60 steel and legendary craft part + some basic duct/wood In order to be able to craft a T6 Steel Pick you'll need a minimum of 60 Tool Digest books. Random loot from POI or drops/mail boxes You'll also need 10Forge Ahead books in order to be able to craft Lock Picks In order to craft said lock picks you'll need Forged Iron AND Mechanical Parts. Lootable from machines/cars. You'll need at minimum a lvl 1 Wrench which you;ll need a Scap 4 Fun boos. Youll need mine a absolute ton of Iron and Clay AND (add another 60 forge ahead book) be able to craft a Crucible

@@FadeRogue it’s also just a where do you want to spend the time sort of problem. You can stone axe through 5k HP concrete. It’s just would you rather hit the concrete first twenty minutes or spend twenty minutes fighting for your life against zombies 🤷‍♂️ You CAN do it day 1 anyways. Just doesn’t necessarily mean you’ll want to lol. All you are describing someone as needing is for how to do it super easily. Not what one needs simply to get the loot.

T6 steel pick makes it faster. It not needed. The most important thing is maxing miner which you can do extremely easily. This with an iron pick will let you rip through these blocks pretty fast. It is also very possible to have a steel pick and still be on tier 3 quests and maybe ya wanna pre loot.

The maps are also a decent size. Go to a different area. Unlikely the ENTIRE map has been looted. Or alternatively. Just do quests and the POI will get reset. You don’t have to complete the quest if you don’t want. You can start it, get the reset loot, and dip out to do a different quest at a newly reset POI lol

So you effectively just made a cheat video on how to cheese all the loot in POI's detracting from the exploration an game in general. I wonder why Glock9, JAwoodle, Nerds and Steel,MrReach or any of the other dozens of content creators who have been playing Seven days to die for close to a decade have never done a similar video..OH thats right because cheating or cheesing games is not only frowned upon by the Devs but the community at large.. an i see from some of the comments below many agree. C'mon FireSparks do better bro..
@zkace
@zkace Месяц назад
I personally wouldn't consider it "cheating", that's more reserved for modifying game files in my opinion like directly giving yourself 99999 dukes or something at the start (we can make an exception for creative purposes like modding in custom skins, weapons, or POIs). Even without this guide, it's not difficult for someone to remember the location of the loot room in a POI and just go for the shortcut the next time they go there. I won't deny that it's _technically_ not in line with how the devs designed their POIs to be traversed, but one of the biggest appeals of 7DtD at least for me is the sheer freedom players have to do just about whatever they want, and if they really didn't want players to be able to deconstruct POIs, they'd have done something about it in the 10+ years they've been working on the game (and I'm sure being able to destroy POI blocks isn't something new in 1.0). As far as I'm concerned, the fact that it's possible in the game normally without any mods means they're aware it's an option available to the players and chose to let it be instead of making them indestructible like bedrock if a player didn't use a land claim block on it or something. Of course, you're free to not agree with nor use this approach -I don't really do it myself, either- but I don't see the need to shame someone for playing the game _their_ way, especially if it's just for their personal enjoyment rather than in a competitive PvP setting.

@@zkace i agree everyone has the right to play the game the way they want. But thats not what this is. The beauty of this game is the actual exploration of all the different POI's and the evolution they have taken over the years to become what they are now. The diversity in POI"S was whats amazing about them, loot and trash spawns are randomized each time and that what makes it so enjoyable. But this just skips all that and just shows you straight up where the loot is and spoils all of the above. I am not shaming him i just think that out of all the possible ways you could generate content with a game like seven days to die and you decide to go the cheap hack way for clickbait views is poor form. Its also why so many content creators have not done it and have stated the same reason. I guess i just expected more from him especially considering the majority of people viewing these are kids and young teens. It sends a message that its ok to cheat or not do the hard work to achieve things, i knows its just a game but it does set a precedence. The point below that this sort of content or advice ruins it for others on multiplayer servers and the content creators comment in response, thats why you have to play with people or friends that you trust is goes against the whole reason why would you post this content if it encourages that kind of behavior proves my point. But that's just my opinion.
@zkace
@zkace Месяц назад
@@michaelvial125 That's fair, and the most part I agree with you about the big appeal of the game being exploration of the POIs. However, I still do think that, again, if it really wasn't how the developers wanted the players to approach their game, they would've done something about it over the years, so the fact they didn't means they acknowledge it as a possible, legitimate option they allow the players to do, so I don't see why it should be seen as that much of a 'lesser' way to play. For multiplayer servers, I'm aware there's an option to set player block damage, so similarly, if the server hosts also didn't want this to be possible (and I highly doubt they don't know this is a thing), they'd have changed it accordingly. If I may add, though you do shortcut your way to loot, you do kind of miss out on the XP and levels from clearing the POI normally, and unless you're lucky enough to have a fetch quest where the satchel is within reach, you also miss out on quest rewards. I don't know if this is possible for POIs beyond tier 3 either (since that's all that was featured, and from my experience, higher level POIs have the actual loot rooms so deep I've even missed them going through their quests), so you might not be able to get the best rewards available as well.
@michaelvial125
@michaelvial125 Месяц назад
@@zkace sure the developers could of made it so you have to follow a set path and activate buttons or clear zombies on your way thru to the end stash loot to activate a door to open or unlock so you can access the loot. but really do we have to treat people like little children because we don't have the confidence or trust in them to play a game with integrity or limit the options they have in a game. So it ends up becoming like ever other game out there that you have s set path with invisible barriers to limit your gameplay or desire to explore, or games with amazing vistas that you cant actually explore because of the set pathing or invisible barriers. The reality is tho that cheating and cheat hacks are now becoming so common place in game that servers have to add anti-cheat software and moderators to supervise and moderate server games with bans been imposed on gamers because of this growing cheating game play. You will also find that most games that end up having high levels of cheating and hacking end up breeding a toxic environment, just look at RUST a superb game with some of the worst cheating hacks and toxic environment that i have every played. So why encourage this behavior, you just have to read some of the comments below, with brand new players asking for maps to show you exactly where the loot is in the building or the exact paths to take to get there. Do you think that the developers intent to see new players asking for advice or commentary like that for a game that they have dedicated 11 years into developing. An after watching alot of this creators streams, he doesn't play like this either. This doesn't improve your ability to improve your gameplay or make you a better player or any of the other benefits that guides generally give you. I guess my whole point is if you want to become a better player at this game is not to watch this video. if you want to cheese and cheat the do, but then you might as well spawn in top tier loot straight up like i mentioned initially.
