I could probably tech this into marincess since I'm already running the new shark support since a monster they have is level 5 and is easily summoned and abyss shark is a good tech in the deck because sometimes toad off of bahamut is cool but being able to yoink two problem monsters is hilarious tbh
@@DuellinksAce he definitely misplayed a few times too. The big one I think was when he didn’t attack the either of the regular krakens to then go into main phase two. Then get Crystal heart into Argonaught
honestly if it were possible to cut it, most decks would. With Abyss shark, it’s now possible for shark decks to. Because against an ash, tuna is really a waste of a whole turn.
And here I thought I'd never see rhongo ever again SMH. This just goes to show how yugioh players will always find a way to play toxic cards. Konami should've banned rhongo in the last 3 banlists.
@@ogbarcode8777 I don't think Maxx c needs to be banned cuz you can't just sit still while you're opponent makes a 5 negate board. You need some kind of insurance. This may also be cuz of my personal bias and trouble with contesting against meta decks
hide this before we get rhongo banned. Also, i like the utopia line into barian rhongo because you have kaliyuga as a fall back and beefy monsters. ill prolly try this one too though because ive been wanting to play sharks though this is expensive
The Utopia version is more consistent and if you you can't summon Barian you always have a plan B to go into Kali Yuga lock combo or Plan C to go into Utopia leo and Hope using Dragonar.

… Oh this is nasty. Okay, so, for those who don’t understand why this is so good: CXyz Barian Hope copies Rhongomyniad’s name and effect until the end of your opponent’s turn. Rhongomyniad’s detach for cost doesn’t occur until the Standby Phase of your turn. Because Barian Hope will never have Rhongomyniad’s effect during your Standby Phase, it will never detach material and can exist as a pseudo-permanent floodgate so long as Rhongomyniad is in your GY and your opponent can’t break Barian Hope during your turn.
Konami banned rhongo in TCG, it’s not entirely unlikely that he wont be banned in MD as well. Honestly i cannot understand how anyone plays MD with BO1 cheese and a shitty banlist
Rongo with this strait can be taken out by call by the grave u rarely find players that run two but u didn't hear that from me I been running for months and I been trying to make it more consistent and hit diamond with it it's a lot more sauce to this some thatsum ppl may or not know
So this deck weakness is just pass their turn then set trap card to destroy it before it can copy. use untargetable deck to counter this deck. mekk knight is also this deck best counter on how to beat it.
I've been playing I varient of this for several months now in master duel. nash knight and chaos nash knight with the new barion cards make this a much more consistent deck. but I agree try to keep this tech on the down low.
i didn't remember, but the fact that this deck get some handtrap'ed and the combo will stop its true, unless you have more follow-up plays so we can still going to make rhongo or more decent board
Rhongo's main effects aren't reliant on detaching material, he only has to detach 1 during the opponent's End Phase. Barian Hope doesn't need to detach for his effect either, and since Barian Hope's copying effect times out at the opponent's End Phase, he never needs to detach. He's vulnerable when he activates his effect to copy Rhongo, as well as during the Draw and Standby Phases.
