This documentary is based off the wonderful work of Seth L. Sanders and I did it in AI to try speeding things up a bit. You will notice an occasional word mispronounced. I hope you enjoy this documentary which goes over the earliest evidence for people ascending to heaven which includes Etana and Adapa. This evidence gives you the precursor to the Enoch myth. @@traviswiebe8679 What makes you think a child could understand the concepts, when most adults have a hard time with it, and you give way to much credit to this generation, those who are addicted to their electronic devices, when I was in school, you couldn't use a calculator, you couldn't say you did it in your head either, you had to use a pencil and paper to prove you knew the answer, not pretend you did. Schools of today are creating the dumb and confused, the world was more transparent in my generation, today its full of fantasy and deception.

My pastor used Enoch to tell us how much of the ‘supernatural’ occurrences in the OT and NT were done by celestially, ‘alien’ like creatures and/or powers that are beyond our comprehension. He used to say that the ancient people called them ‘celestial’ because they didn’t have another word for it, and said that “extraterrestrial” and “alien” (especially this one) are still as archaic words for us as much as celestial were to the Ancient people. He always made us keep in mind that ‘alien’ and ‘extraterrestrial beings’ were not appropriated and could be misleading, lead to dangerous things and behavior, paranoia, obsession etc, making sure we got that it was not in any way what science fiction and conspiracy theories taught us to be and tried to avoid those words as he could. He explained that it was simply beings (human-like or not) and phenomenons that transcend our human comprehension in the physical level, in terms of plurality of dimensions, capabilities and traits beyond our understanding of the natural physics we have here on Earth, including our earthly conceptions of space, time, matter, infinity (as in infinite universe and infinite time, which are concepts we can’t very well conceptualize or imagine) and theories and stuff I’m not smart enough to say as he said, stuff which some we’re just beginning to explore these levels of Physics, like multiple dimensions and other Physics theories - according to him. Emphasis on theories, please. He never said it but I guess it was similar to the way that we can’t fully understand a 4D object, I guess he saw the supernatural of the Bible that way, as in that we can’t fully understand and experience a 4D object or understand them visually or replicate here on our 3D world, but we can grasp its theory, the descriptions etc. cause we’re limited on our worlds; our universe; our human experiences. Despite leaving my religion, I’ll always hold him dearly; he was the only one accepting and defending gay people. And he accepted the Evolution theory and had a deep love to Physics, Anthropology, Psychology, Biology, History and Social Sciences. I guess he had to find a way to cope with both his religion and Natural Sciences at the same time, while offering it to people who also tried to deal with these contradictory beliefs - though he didn’t consider them contradictory. It was nice to have those years feelings of belonging, especially not being hated or demonized as a gay person. And I still watch him from time to time when I want to hear his theological view from things I’m learning about religions. But no, he never said for us to get ready for the aliens would be coming for us and we’d be taken in a spaceship, lol. But I can see how thin the line is. Thankfully he wasn’t obsessed over it, he talked about it in very sporadic and specific lectures when he wanted us to understand specific events in the Bible, otherwise I can see how if someone obsess over these things it could lead extreme beliefs over time and even committing insane acts. As we’ve seen before. I guess it’s human, always trying to find new ways of explain the unexplainable. I am and always was free to explore these myths’ origins, and I regret not doing it earlier though i was always curious, I never knew where to search, and you bought it to us, I’m very thankful. The truth is more fascinating than the myth. Guess it is as the author of John said: “Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free”. :) I now don’t have to be trying to find seemingly rational ways to reconcile my faith and the world simply as it is anymore. And what I don’t have answers for I simply accept the fact that I don’t have answers for. It is what it is. I’m now agnostic and honored to gain factual and historical knowledge thanks to you. To discover the origins of these Religions is truly amazing and fascinating. I’ll never get tired of learning from you, your guests and your channel!

☺️ your pastor sounds like a pretty cool guy. I was raised secular and came to faith in Christ after many many years of studying and searching and researching and internal and mental struggle. Faith and science are not irreconcilable. Physics and astronomy were my first loves. I love learning about religion and culture and history, and obviously I still watch videos like this… I’ve been pretty disappointed with the actions of the church and so-called Christians over the course of my life, and it was what kept me away from any religion for a very long time. The teachings of Jesus are very clear : love God with all your might, and love your neighbor as you love yourself. Jesus loves you. He will always love you. And even though I don’t know you, I love you too ❤ as a Christian I just want you to know that, and know there are many of us out there that don’t take issue with gay or lesbian people, and the ones that do are not following Jesus with all their might, because we are commanded to love one another. It is truly heartbreaking to me, that despite having an amazing pastor and being open to belief in God, you were pushed out of the church by judgmental and wicked people. I’m sorry you ever had to feel like you weren’t enough. Jesus says you’re perfect just the way you are, and He is waiting for you always with open arms. Ps - when it comes to “little green men” and conspiracies … the truth is much stranger than fiction 😉🤪👽

@@Mojojojo85757 🩷 those are lovely words to hear, doesn’t matter my religion or the lack of it. It’s endearing to hear people in their religion say that the most important and holy person to them love me. I think a lot if not most of gay people would be very active members in church if they could find one that doesn’t judge them, or expect they to change, or worse. I know personally how the lack this acceptance in their religion (which most of them were born and grew up into) has very hard impact on their well-being and mental health, in their respective faiths. I knew a lot of them who over time just accepted that God hated them, and it was very sad to hear, they’d often cry if and when they talked about it. Hope they all can find people like you and other leaders out there. 🩷

What makes you certain that what they tell you is the truth? I got the impression that your definition of truth is whatever fits what you want it to be, correct or wrong. One thing thing is for sure, the day your body dies, your soul will be confronted with the truth you’ll have no other choice than to admit it and bow down to it. @@DA-yd2ny I don’t think it was the truth. So much so that I’m no longer Christian. I just shared that it once made sense to me at one point in my life. And how much I think Enoch added to his idea of god and these superior beings, or whatever you want to call it. Nowadays I just think people in the past were either insane, psychotic and/or on some kind of natural drug. But I believe more they were psychotic. Except for the author of Revelation, that guy was straight up tripping on mushrooms or something.

TECHNICAL: The speed keeps changing in the narrative. Some parts sound you're at like 1.25 or 1.5 speed. It almost sounded like you made your voice into AI, which is possible. This is the most consistent way to view such mishandling of study principles I've ever seen Thanks for being consistent enough to admit the source of your conclusions This is more professional The problem is that all of this narration that begins with the assumption that the age of something's origin is determined by the age of its oldest remaining relic, and this is certainly not an accurate way to handle documents The oldest copy of Julius Caesar's work is 900 years after his life If such reasoning as is in this video is a correct way to handle things then I would have to assume that Julius Caesar did not live until the time of that document If I proceeded to handle things the way you just did, I would then have to conclude that the document of Julius Caesar was built upon by the things that were written in the first century This is completely consistent If we're not going to consider the latter as a plausible conclusion in the video cannot be taken as accurate either

The priestly class got the kings under their thumbs and became the ruling class, giving rise to Israel temple priests, in time. However, the Judean priests fought among themselves so much, Enoch ended up more or less in the dust bin of history with Etana, until modern Apocalypse minded scholars dragged Enoch out again.

Thanks. Interesting. Isn't Adapa's missed chance at immortality similar to one found in the Epic of Gilgamesh? Also...you need to insert more pauses at the chapter breaks. Perhaps also a visual cue like 'fade to black' or placing the title on the screen without any background. I'd still prefer non-AI generated speech... if possible.

@@iknowulie Whoever is doing it, and whatever the reason, when I see thigs in the title (invariably in all caps) that are designed to get clicks, and would light up the eyes of a 15 year-old, they usually have the opposite effect on me, as they probably do on a lot of people who consider themselves aduts, past being hyped by advertising. If videos actually stood up to their headline in most cases, I would be drawn in, but in most cases they don't. It's really common to be attracted to a video by a thumbnail that never features anywhere in the video. Personally, I no longer have much faith in RU-vid serving up what's on the menu.

I have no idea why so many documentary makers have adopted the technique of editing out the natural pauses between sentences, as you have done here, but it makes the resulting speech extremely irritating to listen to, and almost impossible to digest efficiently and comfortably. 2. This documentary seems to be compiled more in the manner of reading a scholarly text, than a popular interest podcast; there is a VAST difference between the two. it’s both overly verbose, as well as delving into minutia nonessential to your point, both of which inhibit the moving along of your point, and makes the resultant video extremely tedious to listen to. You need an editor.
