Life long athletes don't do this, the dad is just one of life's losers and doesn't know how to behave when his ego has been activated. Sit down shut up and clap at the right time, pick your kid up on time and make sure they have clean gear. That is the only thing parents are there for. Va. , Louisiana, Texas, Kentucky and Tennessee…………you have dirt poor white people voting for super wealthy white people, who only use them for their votes. If your in a trailer in Ohio, those kickbacks and tax reductions for those making 250k a year, aren’t for you. Or even when the White House was stormed, I didn’t see any wealthy people out there. When they read the names and occupations of those arrested, they had blue collar jobs. I didn’t hear about any physicians, lawyers, college professors, hedge fund managers or corporate managers participating. If your a poor republican, I can only feel sorry for you. Sporting associations need to include a code of conduct for players, officials, and supporters that have zero tolerance for breaching them and immediate penalties such as interference with umpires/referees resulting in the associated player/team forfeiting the game. In Australia when it was highlighted that the supporters (players family and friends) were the biggest problem penalties for supporter misconduct increased to include the player or team forfeiting the match due to the supporters behaviour. After many games were forfeited due to supporter behaviour teams started reigning in their supporters behaviours and this is what stopped us loosing umpires due to abusive behaviour. Sporting governing bodies need to act by creating and enforcing codes of conduct.

@DeadSezSo 3 месяца назад
@@sylverscale right but maybe if the father gets his son disqualified for his actions, he will learn to behave himself no? But these people are raising kids to be just like them, they see nothing wrong with this type of behavior. It's important for society to show their kids the correct path and that actions DO have consequences for you and everyone around you so you should behave yourself since obviously he's not getting that message at home. If the parent cannot behave himself and keep his hands to himself then it is not a good idea to have their child participate. Sure, you can ban the parent only but that doesn't change the fact that just the mere presence of a child of such an unhinged individual can be dangerous to all involved so it's best to remove the entire family. A huge part of the problem lies in the lack of respect given to referees/ umpires from players on the field. Take rugby as an example of how it should work, following every decision, only the captains of each team are allowed to ever speak to the ref, and no-one is allowed to talk back unless asked a question. If the person officiating a game screws up, they can be taken to task by their employers, league and/ or union AFTER the game. Mistakes will happen, 99% of refs don't have the advantage of instant-replay or eyes in the back of their head. Too many parents desperately trying to live vicariously through their children. Pathetic.

@MrGuanYu1
@MrGuanYu1 3 месяца назад
Just because it's an illegal move doesn't mean it's cheating. I'd need to see a better angle to see if it was intentional. I'll go with the ref only calling it potentially dangerous and not an illegal move as indication that HE didn't think it was intentional. That's wrestling, things get bent in awkward angles. That's why the officials are there, to make sure and stop it when it's dangerous.

the most interesting part is how the report indicates that incidents like this started spiking around 2018. It was around this time that people started to let their baser feral sides come out and decide they are the only one who is right and everyone else is wrong and use of violence and intimidation became more and more commonplace... wonder where they might have been getting that idea...

When I coached Little League, I drafted a ballplayer who's Mom had a bad reputation as an ump-abuser. I asked her to be my official scorekeeper, thinking that giving her a true responsibility for the team would keep her in line. But no, during THE FIRST GAME OF THE SEASON, she harassed and berated the home plate ump so much, and in such vile language, I had to ask her to leave the complex. It was an awful situation and her son was so embarrassed and ashamed of his Mom's actions

I learned the hard way. In my early teens, at a "for fun" softball game. I was playing at 2nd base, and the 1st base runner jumped and came down on my leg (breaking it). I found out later that this is a way to take out a player. From then on, I avoided any contact sports, even though I've been highly athletic all my life. I've noticed the increase in hyper competitiveness in almost all sports to the point that cheating is accepted as long as you can get away with it. I've never understood that mentality.

I watched the disintegration of parent behavior personally. My husband coached my son and daughter’s AySO teams for years. Daughter eventually made ODP, so it got very intense. AY had its moments, but by the time she was moving to a regional team, my husband bought himself a tiny pink beach chair. He called it his “cool out” chair, and he’d coach from sitting in it because parents would be harassing him constantly “Why haven’t you put Lindsay in” and “Didn’t you see that foul?” But the move to her first elite team was caaraazy. Dad’s were cussing, mother’s screaming like fishmonger’s wives, Dad’s were throwing chairs and KICKING TREES. I wanted her to quit that day. Parents would scream invective at my daughter all the time. I remember one time two men and a woman were screaming at her that she was faking injury (she’d been closelined by a defender). “Get the f up1 There’s nothing wrong with you.” I dropped my camera and started across the field. My kid stood up, looked at them and said, “You realize I’m 14 years old, right?” They shut up, thus saving me from a triple homicide charge.
