A crazy wheel to wheel battle all race long. By far my best race battle and performance to date! Intense wheel to wheel battle with Sam Satchwell in Race 3 at Brands Hatch P10 finish even with a 5 second penalty
That's the best onboard video I've seen in a long time. A few less slo-mo effects, lower music and it would be top notch. I look forward to watching your stuff sir, do well. 👍
@@ChapmansCorner I need to sell some houses first, I can’t see me being out this year. Though I love watching it it pains me a certain amount as I know how much fun it is. If it wasn’t worn out, I would sell a kidney.
I was at Sundays meeting of 750mc and watched the F1000 with much interest after 20 years of racing (Hot Hatch with the 750). I must admit i cant remember how you fared! Looking forward to seeing the video. Cadwell is a great little track! I may talk myself into trying F1000.
@@Meeshka32 I was running P2 until the final lap when I went into the wall final turn final lap 😅 then the second race on Sunday I managed P7! My best weekend so far. The crash was an experience. You should defo join us! If you test an F1000 you’ll get hooked. Can’t beat the thrill of being flat through T1 at 132 at Cadwell or flat through Island Bend (for example) at Oulton
@@ChapmansCorner well i have been flat up the hill (albeit in 4th) but with another hot hatch nose on into my side door. The dent was still there when i sold the car.! Love Cadwell though its scary as F in the wet if you are paying your own repair bills. Got to wait and see how the $$$ look after i finally buy a new house this year. But it does look great value and fun. Whats the sequential box like for shifting? I watched video from Nixon Racing in the US in his F1000 (US regs look a bit more nuts) and he made it look smooth...and quick...all the way down the box in like 1.5 secs under breaking.
@@Meeshka32 sounds awesome mate! Yeah I can imagine, I drove Cadwell in the wet testing in May but have never raced in the wet. Sequential is okay, I struggle with 2nd > 3rd sometimes since installing the flat shifter. Its a shame we don’t have paddle shifting, would be awesome
Agreed! Each race / more seat time im gaining confidence. Back to Oulton Park this weekend, a track I know and love, with this new confidence and new tyres could be special
Really enjoying this series. Inspires me to give it a go one day. One thing that wasn't clear - what was the five second penalty for? Was it for track limits violations?
Great stuff mate. Have you considered turning off stability on your camera? The yaw left and right makes it feel a bit disconnected from the car. Would love to have a go in one of these, they look mega.
Cheers Rich! People have said this since my first video, and I do agree. I have tried turning it off, but the vibration shakey cam makes the footage unwatchable/ unusable. I currently have it on the lowest smoothness setting. It’s a tough one! Other drivers footage looks faster and more engaged, but mine is better quality and smoother. Tough one, still trying to figure out the right solution. They’re fantastic mate, definitely do a test at some point
Cheers! Very intuitive to drive, they’ll do what you ask We had installed a flat shifter which was causing the issue, we adjusted it and I was lifting a little for the upshifts
At this point EVERYTHING is more intense than F1. F1 is such a terrible example for club racers on every level. I was racing at Brands and heard one of your guys moaning about how the backmarkers didn't get out of the way for the blue flags. News flash . . they don't have to. It's not F1. Track limits? Yes there are some, it's not F1. ETC ETC
Totally agree mate! Clickbait thumb but I also think it’s the truth and people comment saying it’s more interesting to watch than the F1 parade. Club racing, especially in the UK, has some fantastic action. Haha yeah agreed. I moved out of the way race 1 when getting lapped, but it’s definitely more interesting when the back-markers don’t and it’s a test of skill for the lead driver. I bet P2 was frustrated when back-markers move, they rely on the back-markers to give overtaking opportunities
