Awesome finds today Heather. That cabinet is an easy fix. All you need is wood glue from a cabinet making place. Then pull the piece of wood up to the top close to the hole put the glue on the wood, and all around the hole, then press it together holding it for a few minutes. Let it dry, then take very fine sand paper, and sand any rough spots, and any dry glue. Have a great day my friend ❤🙂.

Imagine you said it was 97 degrees. What!!!!. When we get 33 degrees here in Trinidad we can't take it. Wow thats real heat you working in. Probably you should consider using a short step ladder to gain height and access.

Great score! A piece of marble or granite would look terrific on top of the white chest. You can get large tiles of both at Lowe's or Home Depot. :)

Yes it does expire. It will go rancid if not used in s timely fashion. It gets cloudy. I dont know where you read that but it will go off

Great finds, Heather! There are wood filler product you can use , even to help fill bigger holes…I think if you were to keep the broken piece in place, and hammer a small mesh patch to the underside, then fill from both the top and bottom, you could make a repair that would hold. You might need to lightly sand it, and then touch up paint - or paint the whole top. Cory, on Desert DIY, has done lots of unique repairs on furniture with wood filler! Check her out! 👍🏻😁

I never found a dumpster at General Dollar that was a great haul. Most of ours are eitherlocked or has no trespassing cameras aloud.

Have you ever gotten in trouble for doing this? I want to do this so badly. I looked up the law in IL and it's a misdemeanor and fine for diving in a private dumpster. I assume they have cameras so no matter how quick or stealthy I am they will have my plates. I mean a misdemeanor isn't a felony so no biggie, right? LOL. Your haul was awesome and I was having the best time watching you grab your finds.
