Vocalist's name is Aaron Matts, ex-Betraying The Martyrs. I also love the songwriting, especially their open-ended lyrics about mental problems, trauma, etc.

You should check Older Days by Resolve. The version with Zelli from Paleface Swiss and Aaron Matts from Ten56. There's a lot in that song to say about vocals.

Yeah he was, but he said he's happy to not be with them anymore. Not sure what happened there other than his urge to make some nasty fucked up music. And I think they're delivering 😬 gotta love ten-fiddysix 😏

@@nyctopheliaXbasicly, different ideas what about the lyrics etc shall be about. He wanted to write about the stuff he does in Ten56 and the band didnt, and they had different ideas how about band shall progress forward, with some other stuff.

@@tooernnhonestly it didn't really surprise me. I mean, I liked their stuff for the kinda epic sound mixed with his vocals, but when Aaron was featured on other songs outside of BTM, you could feel that he can sound so much heavier and kinda wants more

The band name is pronounced as ten fifty-six, it's the police code for attempted suicide, and something that the singer, Aaron Matts, unfortunately has some history with. He grew up in the city about 10 minutes from where I live, and is one of the best vocalists out there right now. I'm glad to see him getting some love on the channel, hopefully this will be the first of many!

finally some ten56 on this channel. i saw them live a couple weeks ago in melbourne AUS, one of the best live shows and vocal performances ive ever seen. suss their other songs out for sure

I normally don't like mixes like this at all. But there's just something about this song and how it's written that really calls for something abrasive and uncomfortable which is exactly what this sound makes me feel lmao. I'm not a professional mixer by any means but as someone who's learning and does a lot of demos for my band, I'm absolutely baffled and fascinated by my conflicted feelings of enjoying this and being disoriented by it at the same time

One detail I really love about this song is that after he says "open the keys(?) to the gates of my mind" he stops doing that muffled sounds with his vocals. The guitars also open up at this part and stop playing more muted.

He reacts to them (Strangled - Sleep) on the new live stream under the "live" tab on the chancel. Basically just says it sounds awesome but its bad/dangerous technique and not surprising that Josh injured himself at the first Orphan show

If you ever want to cover Aaron/Ten56 in the future they have One-Shot Raw vocal videos on the Out of Line Music RU-vid channel. The one for Boy is the less processed of the two
