There's a dude i just found on YT who made a V8 with single cylinder Briggs&Strat air cooled engines. It definitely has its problems too but it was also really impressive.

@@wills.5762 actually, there are lots of miniature person-carrying expeimentals around. Just the other day I in fact saw a video of just that - a home-built, miniture B17, where the Pilot can just fit in the cockpit under the special opening canopy, in action.
One thing about radial engine weakness was cooling when extra rows were added and it got me thinking would it be possible to modify the engine that only the front row is the one connected to fuel lines and the concurrent rows coil springs are used (helical type if possible) in cylinders since it's about compression and expansion which coil springs perform quit well in suspension system and can survive repeated cycle or will they offer no extra HP
