I always pause your videos to see your amp (EQ) settings section because your sound is top notch IMHO, best on YT! I played live in bands when I was younger, but now I just play in my office for self-gratification and to learn new songs and to show off to friends and family members that stop by...lol. I have BIAS FX2 on my iMac but I will purchase the PRS Mark Tremonti MT15 - 15/7-watt Tube Head and PRS Mark Tremonti 60-watt 1x12 inch Cabinet. But I'd also like to go from the PRS Mark Tremonti MT15 into my iMac without the BIAS FX2 and external speaker. I'm watching your videos to see how to just use my JBL studio monitors and using load boxes & impulse responses. I'm new to load boxes & impulse responses...
Recently purchased Aesahaettr, Key and Gate, and Gehenna. Had a shipping mishap and Daniel fixed everything. These pedals are extremely high quality and stand out from the rest, can’t wait to get my hands on this one! Great review as always by Sonic Drive as always!
@@SonicDriveStudio That's honestly impressive. Lichtlaerm kills it. Him and Klirrton .... and JPTRFX....basically German amps and boutique pedals are my jam 🤣
those ridiculous post apocalyptic corona price mayhem that just takes away all the fun of collection gear especially from the pedal stuff has just become even more worse than ever before apparently! this guy is the only one i still trust in and this pedal not just sounds amazing to me its also very well priced, the proof that this channel is not commercial based like most others on YT right now. cheers 🎸🎸
I just love the whole "King in Yellow / Hasthur" lore! Definitely worth reading about: it's basically a recurring figure in hundreds of fantasy and horror universes from the original over Lovecraft to Stephen King :)
@@lichtlaermaudionice, I read the original book by Chambers some years ago and it's been my favourite since. It's the book whose imagery and symbolism has stuck with me the most out of all the books I've read and I can't stop recommending it to people. I found this video after searching the name of the book on youtube as I tend to do every so often and I so want to buy it now, great job on the pedal!
@@SonicDriveStudio it’s very cool. Have you tried it with your VH2 yet? I’d certainly want to try one with my Herbert. Diezel amps seem very fussy with overdrives. Cool video, great riffs as always 👊
Im pretty intrigued by the built in effects loop. Its like having a modular dual drive pedal, super cool. I would try first using something like a Keeley Katana, or Xotic RC boost. Add even more juice but keep the eq curve from the KiY. Another great boost that has some balls on it is the ZVEX super hard on. Im sure that would pair nicely. But what I like to do with screamers sometimes is stack it with a hard clipping distortion a la RAT or something. You could use a Klon type circuit here too. TBH I'm just going to have to buy this pedal and see for my self. Looks like a great take on this classic circuit! Love me some screaming tubes...
Bro the stank face I had when I heard the pedal-on tone. I have a 5150 and I’ve never had a boost that kicked the ass of the green channel like that. I gotta get one
Just found out about thus brand this week. Love your channel and demos! Between this and the Aesahaettr, which did you prefer? I play through a peavey 6505 mh and like tones from Pantera to Gojira to Meshuggah.
Very different tbh. The Dirty Tree is a clean boost with very few controls. It's a powerful pedal but not as versatile as this. This one is just more versatile by design and also offers various shades of overdrive. 4 band eq, the loop etc.
the link to the pedal is not working, just to say! the price is ok`ish i think compared to other just ridiculous overpriced pedals that are flooding the marked right now, sound is also decent! this guy knows his stuff so not surprising at all 😁🎸-
Hmm... not really: the Aesahaettr is a Clean Boost, while this is an overdrive and can be used as such or to boost your amp: the Aesahaettr is really transparent, if you don't use the EQ while this here colors the sound significantly with the well known 720hz peak in addition to the EQ which is also voiced differently from the Aesa :)
@@SonicDriveStudio it's actually a recurring character throughout the history of literature and fiction in general. Real crazy story: the figure itself dates back to 1886 and is found throughout the times in Lovecraft, Stephen King and a whole lot of other authors works. Most famously also in the first season of True Detective: Carcosa, The King in Yellow and other motives were taken from the lore surrounding the figure :)
good for you. But there is a reason there is a giant variety of OD pedals and boosts available. If you don't see or understand the need for them, that's fine, but others do and are having fun with them. Glad you're having fun with what you have ;-)
