Take a look at this insane 20 gallon mixed reef tank at our Winter Park store. The Waterbox Cube 20 is perfect for its simplicity of the all-in-one tank design for beginner and advanced hobbyists. We are using the Radion XR15 Gen5 Blues on this reef tank and the MP10 powerhead. You are going to be surprised with the amount of corals and livestock that are in this display!

As someone who worked retail in a saltwater lfs, I tried to never give the go big advice. I liked recommending 20 to 40 gallon tanks because even though there can be more swings, when something goes wrong it's not as much of an uphill battle to correct. It seems like beginners stay in the hobby longer if they get a couple easy wins at the beginning!

I feel the same way. I started my first saltwater tank 17 years ago and I was told bigger is easier, but that’s only half the story. Big aquariums cause as many problems as it solves IMO. First off the price of everything is bigger, and realistically it just gives you more room to build bad habits. When I set up my first Pico-Reef I realized that, it’s almost comically simple and cheap! I didn’t need supplements or any fancy gadgets because I just did a daily 1 Liter water change. The biggest challenge was choosing corals that wouldn’t outgrow the tank too quickly.

Not just beginner, but in general. Was told to go big when I got in the hobby and started a WB 130.4 and hated keeping it up. Closed it up and did the WB 25g and its little work and pure enjoyment. I don't ever see myself doing a reef in a bigger tank again.

Super nice, I have a 20gal Max Nano and removed my skimmer 3 weeks ago. World of difference, the tank with weekly water changes have made my Corals look much better. I've added about 1 1/2lbs of Biohome Ultimate Media and also turned whites completely off as well. Cycle up to 80% blue and the corals have responded and look great. This video made me smile knowing I'm on track and didn't need all the side equipment. I also had a canister refugium and took that off as the tank numbers were ZERO. Way to clean per-say. Again great video and I just subscribed

In fact I love the WB so much I purchased one of their frag tanks.
