Great install man. Just a heads up. Plastic zip ties will break over time due to weather conditions and or rubbing on the bare metal hole u threaded them thru. Better to use a metal tie instead. Also u can put a rubber grommet into the hole so the tie isn't rubbing on bare metal. Also it's recommended to add an air filter bag to the air filters since they are exposed. They are like a mosquito net looking thing.
I have an SVR and mostly very happy with the stock exhaust since its the titanium exhaust from factory with savage pops and crackles. However, the ONE thing I wish it had was a supercharger whine........a bit of Hellcatness
Should jist add K&N filters to fatctory air boxes. On my ATS-V, I lost horse power when i removed the factory air box with K&N. It did sound a bit cooler. But with stock airbox we did 730hp with downpipes and tune with factory are boxes. Just an fyi. Plus, no carwash after that swap
Something I’ve never noticed before is how the supercharger whine kind of loses some of its appeal with fast shifting transmissions. It adds a lot of drama when there’s a noticeable pause and quiet from a slow shift and the whine smoothly coming back on.
@@Sals_Garage damn, I left norcal 2 years ago. On a scale of 1-10 how difficult would you say swapping the spark plugs on a v6 is? I’m gonna try it but don’t wanna be in over my head.
Does the super whine come in at every rev? Or only when you really floor it? Just wondering if it becomes obnoxious after some time.. Would a 25% or 50% throttle cause it whine for example?
Was checking to see if a tune needs to be added if installing this?? I’ve added it already and 80% of the time it runs well but occasionally when reversing or parking, it likes to shake a little and idle roughly, roughly enough that a check engine light comes on. Assuming it’s the intake since I’ve only muffler deleted and added that but don’t understand how.

I previously installed the bottom half of the Mina gallery and this weekend, I took the whole thing apart to install the top half of the product… both same result. I’ve also cleaned the MAF sensor. All clamps are as tight as it can be… does the metal HAVE to be touching underneath the rubber garments??

Great question. In stock form, 340 horsepower only and 3600 pounds. The e93 M3 is faster off the line and in roll race. Once the F Type is tuned it can reach up to 475 HP to the crank making it significantly faster than the E9x M3 👍
I put one on my R model as well. I don’t seem to get that much whine out or mine. I also don’t think the Mina adds any hp. It’s debated you actually lose a bit.
I do all my own work and I want to keep my K&N drop ins and boxes but I do want to replace the supercharger sound delete and just put a straight pipe piece. Don't suppose anyone knows if someone makes that little piece or if you can just mod the OEM part to let the whine through?

Do you they make whine kit for the 2021 to 2024 models? I am buying an F-Type next week and deciding between a used 2021 F-Type R or a new 2024 F-Type P450 (either RWD or AWD)

I have a V8 model and considered this intake so I could get more whine. However, there's a few dyno videos before and after saying this intake actually robs horsepower. Do you have dyno results? Also, are you afraid of hydro locking, or do you think they're protected well enough from water?
Great question. I believe that they flow better than stock and perform just as good. You're not going to feel the power increase or decrease because it is probably very small. This mod is strictly for increasing induction noise which improves the driving experience and the feel of acceleration. Also no issues with hydro lock since they are protected underneath by the bottom engine covers. You can also put some mesh filters to waterproof them and keep the dust off.
@@Sals_Garage Thanks for the reply. I have the SVR and the only time I hear induction noise or SC whine is right after start up before the vehicle is warmed up. Sounds amazing!.....for about 1 minute.
@@Sals_Garage have you tried it by any chance? Does it affect performance or gets clogged with dirt? Because removing after reinstalling the tire panels is hectic
Hey man awesome work your doing. I was wondering if the lower Mina intake mates up well with the stock upper intake. Poured into all the forums about the upper intake not offering anything for performance or sound. Infact is negatively impacted performance in some tests. I was just going to get the lower Mina intakes to delete the resonators. Thanks -Alex
Thanks! The upper part adds much more sound. I had the lower intakes before and it sounds good, but the complete kit is around 30 percent louder. Good luck 👍
