All these plants, the water, the fish, the cars you'd park there, the kitchens, the baths, the helipad (and helicopter of course), all the space indoors and outdoors.. if you were to live there "alone", you'd have to bring 40 people just to keep your house and your stuff in it pristine. But I guess if you can afford 195,000,000 quid, you can afford to pay these people handsomely as well.

@@stephenl8121 No, she couldn't. The property taxes alone are probably a couple million a year, not to mention insurance, plus staff, upkeep, maintenance, security, and catering. I'd wager it would cost an easy $10-15 mil a year just to live here, and that's assuming you bought the entire estate for CASH. Then if you wanted to actually have a LIFE here, it would be closer to $20M. Only Jeff Bezos could actually afford to live here.

Let's assume a yield of 0.1%/mo. as interest for a bank deposit. This means you should have 2000/0.001 = 20 MUSD to yield 2000 USD/mo. Further on we may ask, how much I should have in the bank to get paid an interest of 20 MUSD? 20 MUSD/0.001 = 20 BUSD!

That said, there's a reason 48 acres in WV is so cheap compared to this place, sure some of it is overly inflated pricing, but some place people WANT versus some place people don't want.

Yeah it’s vile and cheesy. Comes across very Americans doing their idea of european (which to a real European looks vile). If I had 195million to spend on a house I would want to spend it on building a new house designed to be my version of the perfect house. Or actually I would spend that on like 5-10 different houses all over the world. like I wouldn’t spend this ridiculous amount of money on someone else’s idea of the perfect house. I would have no use for the wine cellar or the tennis court. I don’t drink and I dislike tennis. I would have everything decorated in a simple, slick, uncluttered modern style. This style is gaudy, cluttered and dated. I’d also worry about what kind of terrible happening might have happened to people at those parties described. I bet some of them were pretty creepy and exploitative of young vulnerable women. The house looks like a sex pest’s dream with the secret tunnels and stuff.

this is a house for billionaires so the upkeep cost isnt an issue. many billionaires own several mega mansions that they have never even stayed the night in.
