I absolutely love the fact that they utilized the area under the stair case. I had to cut through the drywall in the last house I had built. I used it to store the hose and accessories for the central vacuuming equipment.
Always wanted a New York brownstone as a kid- now I have a Philly brownstone that some building butcher bricked over half, took of the top cornice and bricked the area, and put smaller windows with miss matched bricks around them. A poor girl’s brownstone 😢
Hello Ariel. I just watched. I missed the live stream. It was nice to see you again. I miss the live streams, I miss you. I enjoyed this stream. Hope to see you live again soon.
One day I'm going to visit New York so I can see a Brownstone home. I love the steps on the Brownstones. The hone is beautiful 3.5 million is too much that should be in the thousands like 15 thousand. I love the smart mirror and the bathtub in the one bathroom. I like the idea of the deck and backyard separate, like you I want them together. I would have a nice party like in the movies a family get together, or just invite friends over with a DJ, that is a lot of levels and bathroom. I can definitely have my own gym in that brownstone.
I grew up on Putnam Ave ( the other side of that building) and that building is the Original Boys High School where Basketball legends Connie Hawkins and Lenny Wilkins attended.
That's a neat place. I like how tall it is at 5 stories (including basement). Probably real efficient to heat and cool. Those AC units resemble mini-splits. They aren't normal HVAC units. They are much quieter than normal central air or even window units.
So I like the idea the owner had of making that second floor a true master bedroom with on suite master bathroom and a walk in closet. That would have been awesome. I grew up in a brownstone and it pains me to see this bathroom in every room minimizing the beauty and size of the rooms. They also had some weird choices on the top floor to me. The cella theatre room was great as well. At least they kept the rental potential on the ground floor. 👍🏾
I don’t like the laundry room on the third floor because I have a bad hip and can’t do a lot of steps. I’d like the library as my bedroom. Or move the laundry room to the kitchen
It would make a spectacular “frat house” or sorority pad for very wealthy students from home or from abroad. Either that or a great family home for someone with several kids who would fill it up with life and general pandemonium.😂
Nice brownstone but, pretty basic. I am a plumber in NYC and I have been to many many different residences all over Manhattan as well as a few in Brooklyn. I have many stories to tell but, unfortunately I am sworn to secrecy.
Marble stones or slabs are not porous at all. Their surfaces are totally smooth and waterproof. This is why marble is utilized as countertops in kitchens sinks and bathrooms walls. I have no idea where K Susie saw a porous marble.
Very generic looking inside. Nothing really great. You can see that caesar stone style in every newly renovated house. Same decor from one room to the other.
So , first time here and disappointed I have to keep hearing about your gimble when you're standing in front of the adorable little doored cubbies under the stairs. Open stuff ! People want to see
