‘Since 1960, Mews houses have gone up over 500% in value’. Well, math isn’t their strong suit. That would mean this house would have been £1.3 million in 1960. LOL. You could have bought the whole street with change left over for £1.3 . The average house price was £2,700 in 1963, vs £280,000 today. That’s a 10,000% increase for average UK house prices.
@paulangeloff400 A property is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it. That’s why the asking price is never what the property sells for. That’s their starting point of the haggle and now it’s down to if there’s a clown with enough money than sense to buy it.
Since the sixties, it would be more like 50000% (And much more given it costs over 6 million today) and not 500%. A house like that in the sixties cost less than 10k.
It is extremely well done. However, for £6.5M I would expect nothing less. Londoners are so easily impressed, I do not think an outside terrace overlooking the neighbours back yards is attractive no matter how much it is hyped-up.
Exactly. Being an American, it is HARD for me to imagine any home being worth $6.5 million that doesn't have even a quarter acre of land or more than one room per floor (mostly.) I know English homes are built "up" instead of "out" like American homes, but the idea of going down four flights to get a midnight snack or a glass of water is nightmarish. Or entertaining guests in the living room and having to run up and down a flight to finish dinner or get dessert for everyone. No wonder the English are in better shape than the average American. Lol.
Absolutely beautiful home. This house has Australian styling , especially with the media room and speakers throughout the home. Also 10/10 for the staging so understated yet perfect.
not been with your channel that long but love how you detail the properties......as for this Mew House it's something else styled for modern living but not too big to maintain
soo nice to see both this channel and matt & summer grow more and more each upload, what a beautiful growth. this video was shot so nicely, summer looks gorgggge and this house is beauutttt!
I wouldn't pay £6.5m for a property like that even if it was right in front of Buckingham palace. Also, it should be mandatory to take your shoes off at the door when you're in someone else's house, especially one that immaculate.
All small independent shops should take note of copying how lovely the shops in this neighbourhood are ,many shops are of similar age and design originally yet have become very different and sadly not for the better in other areas.
8 years ago, maybe. Now? 1.5, maybe 2 million, tops. That market is seconds away from bursting, and you’re gonna have a lot of people WAY upside down on their properties!
I thought the same thing. They must be in the kitchen? Seems to often be the case with UK homes. But for this money I'd rather lose one of the bathrooms for a proper laundry.
Lovely house and lovely presentation guys. Just some feedback from me would be not to repeat so much that mews were for horses and servants etc. Not sure asking someone to pay £6.5m for a house and giving that kind of background to it is a strong selling point. While it must be obvious to us here in the UK, it is not actually that common knowledge for international investors / buyers. Focus should remain on the lovely house and the amazing central location! 😁
OMG this is so much like my Terrace house that I just renovated in Islington! I have a similar Lusso tile sink in white. Also have Decton for the work top as well.
Love this house and the location is fab but £6.5m is just too much for this. Why would you spend that sort of money on a house like this when you can get more for your money, in London, probably not too far from here?
Its a great video and a nice house (if youre a fan of new builds) BUT no house is worth this much. I know it might not be overpriced comparatively but the prices now are stupidly greedy.
