You can see the exhaust plume get wider and wider as the air gets thinner and thinner.
@nebtheweb8885
@nebtheweb8885 6 лет назад
That is correct, and also explains why there were no blast craters when they landed on the moon. No atmosphere, no direct plume straight down. Just a wide pattern of blowing dust which is what we see in all the moon landing videos.

Notice how the rocket plume and exhaust fumes continue to expand as the altitude is increased. This is a result of the decrease in pressure as the atmosphere thins out. This is an overexpanded supersonic nozzle.

I love how calm that man announces the stages of launch. It shows how well people can really work together if they are patient, respectful and optimistic with each other. It's not like in the sci-fi movies where everyone goes, 'WE'RE LAUNCHING NOWW!!' Or whenever there's a 'launch,' it's always a weapon. I think it'd be great to have more sci-fi movies where there isn't any war and it's all just exploration and fun stuff! Why does it always have to be so serious?

Okay, I viewed space launches from several Sci-Fi movies including Armageddon, Intergalactic and even Spacecamp. in each case they actually used real footage from real rocket launches mixed with computer animation. The computer animation is much more polished and and uses quick succession of angle and view changes. If you know what you're looking at it's pretty easy to discern.. so yes this video is 100% real..

Notice how it's freezing on the outside of the rocket.
@almafuertegmailcom
@almafuertegmailcom 3 года назад
It is, but it's not noticeable, that's not the reason why you see ice buildup. That's because the rocket uses cryogenic propellant and oxidizer. That's why you see it on the main stage, but not on the boosters or the upper stage. The boosters use solid fuel, and the upper stage uses a hypergolic mixture, so both are stored at room temperature. The main stage though, uses cryogenic RP1 and LOX.
@topsecret1837
@topsecret1837 3 года назад
When the ice begins to vanish as the rocket enters space, that is due to the vaporization of the water to steam as the vacuum lowers the boiling point to below the freezing point, and the sun increasing the temperature of the ice enough to sublimate it. Water takes a lot of energy to boil or sublimate, though, which means a lot of the bigger chunks stay.

@algol29 Obvious troll is obvious.
@almafuertegmailcom
@almafuertegmailcom 3 года назад
@algol29 Well, the answer to your question is very simple. The scientific community didn't "eliminate" ether "to make Einstein's theories work", but rather because it was complete nonsense. As to how rockets impulse themselves and turn, the answer is fairly simple: Newton's third law. You talked a bunch of nonsense about friction ... that's not how any of this works. You don't need to impulse yourself off of anything. Any action has an equal and opposite reaction. Rockets shoot gas out very fast, and the equal and opposite reaction to that is the rocket moving in the opposite direction of the gas coming out of it. In order to point where they want to go, some use gimbaling (ie, moving the engine nozzle, so the gas shoots out in a different direction, altering the rocket's direction), or they use RCS thrusters, basically tiny ports that shoot out compressed nitrogen, thereby applying a force on the rocket through the same principle. Simple enough?
@tapeloop9398
@tapeloop9398 3 года назад
@algol29 LAWS of motion are not "bound to Earth". There isn't a caveat that says * oh this only works in an atmosphere. That isn't how LAWs work. Equal and opposite. Fire a gun in a vacuum chamber. Would you feel recoil or not? Of course you would. Friction is counter to motion.
@WildPhotoShooter
@WildPhotoShooter 6 лет назад
Notice how the rocket exhaust gets wider as the air gets thinner ? The air actually restricts the exhaust gasses but when it gets out of the atmosphere the rocket actually works more efficiently.

My best proof of a globe shaped Earth is that if it were flat and the sun and moon hovered above this flat disc, they sun and moon would start off very small in the sky each day and night and as they move through the sky they will get bigger and bigger until they are as directly above you as possible. After that, when they start moving away they would get smaller and smaller until they disappeared. They do not do this. They stay the same size and even look larger as they come up or go down sometimes and this is not possible with the flat Earth theory. Also, a lunar eclipse is impossible. A lunar eclipse happens far more often than a solar eclipse. The Earth's shadow on the moon. If both su nand moon hovered above the disc, how do we have a lunar eclipse? A solar eclipse would still be possible, but not a lunar eclipse because the sun would have to somehow get to the other side of the disc which would make it night time all over the world at the same time, cast the shadow and then hop back over to the proper side. I can't believe this is something that people even think about these days. I almost wonder if the government pays these so called flat Earth people just to start shit so we will never all be able to work together. It was probably the government that started all this flat Earth bullshit lol. People are so fucking dumb. A little bit of logic is all it takes to know the planet isn't flat, but they must not be capable of that. I love how they say we should question everything and not just blindly follow the "globe Earth bullshit" yet they blindly follow something as fucking stupid as the Earth being flat. We are failing as a species lol. Maybe we should've blown up the planet and started over from scratch.

Technically to reach outer space (or leave earth’s orbit) you need to go up to a certain altitude then the rocket curves to use earths gravity to help the rocket slingshot into space. The real reason for that is because of the expanse (firmament) that the heavenly creator made that cannot be broken by man. That’s probably why nasa is in Florida and they most likely land somewhere in the Bermuda Triangle where no one can see the rocket land.

James Djinn they didn't go straight up you dumb fuck because they are entering Earth's orbit. And since the earth is a globe it would allow them to enter into orbit while still gaining momentum and maintaining speed. If they were to go straight up they would just fly away from earth. At some point they would have to make a hard turn to enter orbit. Which would be impossible at that speed. If you fly in a curved trajectory you follow the shape of the planet, therefore entering into a synchronized orbit around the planet at the speed at which you were traveling. You conspiracy theorist ass hats are among the most uneducated people on the planet. Your theories and doubts don't even make sense. Tramseskumbanan it doesn’t take long to reach a low earth orbit for a rocket that travels 7.9 kilometers per second which is several times the speed of sound, and the further up in the atmosphere you rise the lower pressures you have to fight against.
@Tramseskumbanan
@Tramseskumbanan 6 лет назад
DonkeyFilms It still needs a few more minutes to reach low earth orbit. I think a record holder is the Titan II Gemini that had meco in about 5:34 minutes. The astronauts were then exposed to up to 8G. US shuttle: 8:25 Titan IB: 10 Saturn V Apollo: 12 Soyuz: 9 For launch vehicles that carry (or used to carry) upper stages such as the Titans, Ariane V, Delta IV, AtlasV and Proton M it usually take a few more minutes.

For on the screen now was a strange sight, a great pallid plain of stone… the edge of the plain flashed with the brightness of light on water, light across a distant sea. The stone plain was no longer plain but hollow, like a huge bowl full of sunlight. As he watched it grew shallower, spilling out its light. All at once a line broke across it, abstract, geometric, the perfect section of a circle. Beyond that arc was blackness. This blackness reversed the whole picture, made it negative. The real, the stone part of it was no longer concave and full of light but convex, reflective, rejecting light. It was not a plain or a bowl but a sphere, a ball of white stone falling down in blackness, falling away. It was his world.

@DoveWrestler
@DoveWrestler 8 лет назад
Are you making a joke? Either answer can be as accurate as you'd like. The math for km to m is much more simple. Without a calculator, there are 333 1/3 metres in 1/3 of a kilometre. How many inches are in 1/500th of a mile. Anyone can do the metric equivalent without a calculator. Answer is 126 ft 8 21/32" to the nearest 1/32 of an inch which is not only a pain to calculate, but also difficult to type. The problem with Imperial is which units to use? decimal miles? decimal feet? decimal inches? 1/32 inches? thousandths? a combination of the above? There need be no distinction in metric: To change units you simply move the decimal place.
