I love this kind of videos. I myself sit in my room having a great idea in my mind but I find myself doing all things that do not lead me to the thing I want to build. I mean many times I just doubt if it's worth investing time in it and maybe it's better do something else. Watching such videos helps me to get back in this "let's create" mode. It's about finding right vibration for the work I want to do. Jamie, whatever you're creating now, please document it and share the story with others. It really helps. Love this content. If this is a SQL backend this was prob harder than it had to be; if using NoSQL I’d probably put both messages and user actions in the same collection with a type discriminator to make these types of queries easier to reason about. Different collections partitioned on different properties depending on the views that need that data. For SQL yeah you’d have to stitch those data sets together with an outer join and a type discriminator and order by the time stamp probably. But that’s for displaying these notifications and messages in the same list...you’d need to add the type discriminator to your models/typescript interfaces on the front end and then I guess whatever components would conditionally render em. No easy solutions here; glad y’all figured it out! Would love to see more content on the problems y’all face and how you solve them
