My dad was a trucker and always used to pass by this in his old days and it was open back then, supposedly the history behind this was that the owner wasn’t earning much especially cause the area where the gas station was, wasn’t the best spot for it, and maybe other gas stations around took away the popularity and customers of this gas station and due to this they were basically losing money at this point, their best bet was just to close it and hopefully move to a different spot, which they probably never did. Sad to see especially because now my dad owns a gas station and we can see the struggles of owning one, and the stress we have of customers going to different gas stations near by instead of ours, luckily we don’t have to worry that much about it.

I can’t even imagine all the inflow of busyness as well customers that had went to and through this place! Great segment, indeed, Mae & Zek! … Cheers!!!

Well it looks like everywhere is slowly becoming abandoned across the map. I was born in 85 so I can remember the busyness of the 90 s at the same time as growing up I managed to watch some 80s movies like most people did and some of this movies would depict obviously the end of the store or restaurant etc. And you know some of that always stayed with me it's kind of like having a premonition through Cinema. I mean to this day I can meet at night I just get these images of areas in my town that are going to be abandoned at some point like you just know it's going to happen and it's kind of like well what is it going to look like and I've kind of been kicking around some of those images for nearly 27 years. I mean I'm certain to some it might sound a little goofy I can see that, but I figure I'm not the only one who has taken notice of basically the empty building club in any town you go to. And I'm certain I'm not the only one who has thought of this sort of shit before it was even common if this is actually why a lot of the people that make these explorer videos make these videos is because perhaps they too have tried to picture what some of their favorite places or what not would look like a band basically we have a bleak future. As it is I could say it didn't matter where you go you know take a look around 50% of the businesses and whatever shopping center or whatever town you go to and roughly two years that's not going to exist 50% of them will indeed be gone. I mean we're already seeing that now I mean fuck we're only halfway through the 6 months of this year and already there's been Mass amounts of layoffs store closures businesses of all kinds not just retailers that have been closing I mean it's catastrophic and there is more that just haven't made the announcement yet. should be honest I think two years from now is going to look quite different than what it does today 5 years out I think we're entering the realm of most people are scared of what that will be. I mean you've already got one hell of a house first situation to where most of that problem is caused by high prices so you have a fair amount of the population that's being priced out and or has already been priced out but of course there's always more waiting for their turn to join the ranks of those that are in the streets already. I do not see that that is going to improve I don't give a shit who you vote for it's not going to approve the trajectory of inflation that we are on I can certainly tell you as someone with 20 plus years of business management retail experience that we've been on that trajectory for well over 20 years and of course with each passing year and or if groups of every five years it just gets completely worse I would say the hardest that I've ever seen it has literally been the past 2 years. I know that most people would say the past four and you know what they're not wrong but the reason I go with honing in on two years of the recent past is simply because it has got catastrophically worse I mean we thought it was pretty bad with all the bullshit in 2020 but then of course you have what would be considered aftermath which is the subsequent years after 21 there wasn't really much difference 22 there was noticeable differences by there was at least the illusion of some stuff coming back 23 there was a lot more stuff to come back but on the other hand it started to go the other direction on people coming back which a lot of them just never returned to begin with in terms of jobs I mean it's basically gone to dogshit and then of course the prices I would charge ever since 22-23 I mean it's been greatly exacerbated. My wife told me last night that there is a company called circle k that is reducing their stores in my area they're practically pulling out now that company I know has had some issues over the years they've always been a little on the wonky side while at the same time they've also been able to experience incredible growth but they're trying to convert themselves into a gas station so I think that that is why they're closing just the straight up convenience stores or problem is as far as I can tell they don't have any leads on any other properties to them rebuild as a gas station to stay in the area some of this could also be that we are oversaturated with gas stations and of course in a town 33 miles north east Columbus Ohio. But I will say that circle k I'm aware is also out west if they got their start perhaps in the Southwest. But then wife tells me that they must have been recently purchased by someone I have not yet done the research as of this comment normally I'm the guy who keeps an eye on the business stuff around here. I mean it's really looking Blake isn't it I'm seeing more and more of these abandoned videos pop up all the time I mean granted I know there's been a lot of people documented over the years but it's like well it's getting honestly weird to wear it's like the filmmakers can't decide which building to go into you know they see something abandoned they're like oh that would be interesting but then you can't help but notice there's like five other things around it that's abandoned as well and so you know I wonder what kind of damn debates they have about you know where to go. Of course I enjoy these sort of videos especially if there is a bit of backstory I really did those but I will say that overall it is getting to the point where I think what we are really doing is society is watching our own fucking demise as 100% entertainment. It's like we're all watching it go down we all know it but at the same time we're just sitting there watching it.

Please move the camera slowly. Be very careful. You are leaving fingerprints everywhere touching stuff. I would not want either of you to get blamed for the vandalism. Interesting video though. It’s a shame vandalism occurred because someone still owns this property. Major vandalism crime scene imo
