I am not a regular youtuber or speaker, so I apologize for the mumbling here and there. this is just to show the inside of Beelink's new SER8 8845HS mini pc and help people understand how to open and dissassemble the computer without breaking anything important. There is an above average number of pieces inside this mini pc, and I wanted to nerd out a little bit because it's an interesting machine to dissasemble.

My SER8 came with those silly screw plugs as well. I updated mine with a second SSD and the latest gen WiFi 6 card.

It looks like my Mac Studio Ultra....just weaker specs.

And a fraction of the cost of the Mac Studio, smaller, more software support, upgradeable RAM,SSD, wireless card, front and rear audio jacks, etc. Depending on the model of your Mac Studio Ultra, the CPU performance might not be wildly different such that the average person could tell a difference. I don't look at it as a Mac Studio replacemnt or upgrade but an alternative for people that are on a tighter budget or don't want mac OS.

What WiFi 7 card is compatible with this computer?

One thing this medal case does is kill wifi and Bluetooth reception

Wifi and bluetooth were pretty good for me. With a bluetooth speaker I could get to 75ft with stone walls and metal stairs

They should include 4 extra pads in the box but yeah silly design decision. Hopefully the next model has a magnetic panel or a latch system if that'll mess with WiFi.

@Power3DDesign Because the pads get ruined if you want to swap out the SSD.The SER9 is out soon so maybe they made it a click to fit design.

@@APEXGuerilla this is unexpected. I haven't found any tears in the SSD thermal pads. They are squishy enough to adjust to whatever SSD is added.

Is this working with 2 monitors 4k×144Hz ?

Sorry, I don't have those kinds of displays to test. Works fine with 4k 60hz and can run several simultaneously. On paper if you connect the two 4k 144hz displays to the hdmi 2.1 and displayport 1.4 it should work but this won't run a lot of games at this high of a bandwidth so I assume you're just using this for web browsing, watching some videoes, and light stuff.
