Poverty and history need to be taken into account when you judge these places, rather than make solely about race and/or culture. Go visit some parts of Walsall where it's majority white and poor and they make the places you are walking through here look nice by comparison.

That is indeed a misconception, and why I tend to get annoyed when people keep criticizing the Asian type areas. They are not usually the problem areas. The areas with a lot of poor people, and tons of trash around the place, and certain gangs (often teens, or younger people), sitting around drinking in subways, are problems. If those gangs start roaming around at night, looking for a fight, then you have serious problems. Does not matter if they are black, white or a mixed group.
