Imagine. The owner sold it at 85 million and still makes some profit. Putting it on the market for 150 million is just disgusting. Just wanted to get 65 millions plus.

Number 5 sold for $94m and the buyer deposited $14m in cash and got a mortgage for the rest. Number 4 sold for $120m and the buyer paid cash. Number 3 is still asking $165m. Number 2 1st listed at $350m Then dropped to £195m in August now sold for $150m. Number 1 listed as $500m and now dropped to $340m and expected to drop to around $250m or less (I expect $200m)
Whenever I look at these videos that showcase opulent homes, I think about the other videos I've watched of abandoned mansions and even castles. Left to fall into disrepair or to be overcome by the elements because the cost of running or maintaining them is just too much. Sometimes the owner has lost his riches. Sometimes a house is locked up in court. Some have been abandoned for other reasons. Looking at some of these sprawling spaces also reminds me of the numerous shopping malls that are empty now. But that world of tremendous wealth is something I'll never experience firsthand.
I don't understand why it would cost so much to maintain. One butler can maintain this house. I used to clean office buildings by myself back in the day.
As beautiful as these houses are, I noticed that none of them are even on the water. I would never pay more than one or 2 million for a house that is not on the water, because I do live on the water & not one of those houses could possibly make me any happier then I am ! My house is not 30 or 50,000 ft.² with 35 bedrooms. But I’ll settle for mine any day. (Truly no jealousy there ) .
The second house ( The manor) contained pictures of another house. There is a pic of a living room wich is not part of the house, its part of another "modern castle" video.

My home is 1,700 Sq ft and .93 acre. I would keep my home over those mansions anyway. It doesn't matter what size your home is, it's being happy with what you have.
because is NOT only the money to buy , cost around $3 million a month to run it with staffs included & also tax on that is $2 million dollars a year ,.so u need $5 million a month to just live there , even put the billionaires in shame . just the master bedroom alone in that place is 5000SQ .. is just f*n outrages.
It's currently being offered for $220 million and still no one wants it. The banks will force an auction sale on it soon. I would be surprised if it sells for more than $150 million.

All of these homes are certainly very beautiful. However, I can cook as well, sleep as well, and watch my TV as well in the, 2 bedroom 1 bathroom, 1450 square foot home my husband and I built when he got out of the Navy in 1959.

The One doesn't qualify, imho, for this list. It is unfinished, unsold, and been put into court ordered receivership for failure to pay loans (which were over $110m). As such, its true value can't be determined. The builder did ask, at one point, $500m for it. Then cut it to $350m (then $295m?). I think they went even lower after going into receivership in a desperate attempt to sell it to recoup some of the loans. Unfortunately, no buyers came forward even in the recent red-hot housing market. Who is going to buy an unfinished spec mansion for that price? It also has a ton of unpaid bills (construction stuff like concrete, scaffolding, etc.) as well as over $2m in unpaid property taxes. So, The One hasn't been completed and has never been sold. It really doesn't have an accurate market value at this stage. Also, if I remember correctly, the sq. footage for the main house is more like 70k or 75k. The total sq. footage of all structures is 100k. That is still plenty large, but it is because of huge open spaces and not because of a plenitude of specialized rooms for a variety of activities (like 2 gift wrapping rooms in The Manor). EDIT: I just heard that The One pending sale for $141m. If accurate, it would put The One below others in this video.
What is missing from every single one of these homes is a massive garden. No botanical or flower gardens or any kind at any mansion. That’s kind of sad really. I had all that money I just have a tiny house and most of it would be indoor and outdoor garden.
Just bought a fairly cheap 9.17 million home cash upfront. I can’t imagine buying an expensive one over 100million. Guess I’m pretty much homeless. Thanks for making my house feel like a closet.

The construction of these houses has generated and given a lot of employment to thousands of workers who have and support their families and pets and make money flow throughout the economy and the country. Myself, I would take a Retard Cabin in the woods, surrounded by fireflies and the smell of morning dew. Inside the Retard Cabin are cast iron pots with stove with heat to warm my food, next to this cast iron room are my sleeping quarters where I levitate for one hour a day, I gather woodsy items for sustenance and clean myself with the local wildlife (squirrels) in the lake near by.

Then there is Antilia in Mumbai - 4 times the size at 400,000 sq feet - then the largest in the World - although not a private residence - Buckingham Palace - 828,000 sq feet. The last three sort of put the so called largest in the world to shame.
