This special episode features Alex visiting his friend and colleague, James, who recently underwent serious surgery after breaking his arm. James, who also works for iChongqing alongside Alex, has spent the last three weeks recovering in a local hospital.
Despite serving one of the world's largest populations, these medical professionals demonstrate exceptional commitment and resilience every day. From state-of-the-art facilities in bustling cities to hard-working staff in rural areas, witness firsthand how China's healthcare system meets the diverse needs of its vast populace. This video pays tribute to the unsung heroes who, behind the scenes, ensure health and healing across the nation
Throughout the vlog, Alex captures the heartfelt moments of his visit, showing how friendship and care can bring light even in tough times. We also see Yuna, another colleague, as she visits James, offering her support and helping with the vlog’s production.
The video concludes with a touching update: James expresses his happiness and gratitude for the visits from Alex and Yuan, highlighting the importance of companionship and moral support during recovery.

China doesn't need democracy and doesn't need communism, that's just the ideology of a country. Ancient China is also very famous for its traditional medicine. and they treat people well, to foster health and foster a fairly good national spirit. China today might be said to be a democracy because of the freedom that exists, even though they are monitored by the government every day but that is for the good of their own people, and to avoid negative things such as murder, theft and all kinds of things.

I fractured my shoulder 4th January when I went over on my ankle and fell face forward onto the concrete. Spent 5 days in the hospital with the room all to myself. Cost me 2,500 Rmb. Two thousand five hundred. Didn't need an operation but just had to have my arm in sling for three months. Still aches a bit now but no sling needed. Doctors and nurse were excellent with their care for me even though they could not speak English.

I hope you’re recovering well. I’ll need another operation under general anaesthesia next year to remove the braces and screws, but I’ll keep that at the back of my mind for now. In Canada costs CAD$1,000 (about RMB 5500) for a foreigner to see a regular doctor for a minor thing such as a cold, cash must be paid in full before the doctor appears! If don't have the money then get kick out of the clinic.

It is enough to have 1 country leader, as long as the country can get a clear vision and mission to develop their country according to existing regulations and rules, rather than being a democratic country which has to change leaders every year and the policies of each leader are different and the vision and mission of changing leaders have to see whether they will continue the previous president's vision or stop the previous president's vision with the new president's vision, that is the same as slowing down the development of a country.

Mate, you are joking, aren't ya? The Bulk bill is gone, the Private insurance fund is hiking like crazy, and queues for the public hospital are getting worse and worse, the GP is basically doing nothing but ripping you off and then sending you to those real docs aka "specialists" which will cost you at least $300 each 10mins visit! The docs, nurse, and patient, everyone is complaining, so really is not a good time to praise the Straya collapsing medical system here. But, of course, if you are one of those POS profiting from the NDIS by scamming money out of the system, I guess you are lucky to be an I-refuse-to-work kind of Disability, soon more Aussies will become the Disability, we can be more proud of being Disability nation, hey?

@@snapper69996666 it is because you are lucky and not getting any of those serious diseases, so you have time to wait, and you don't care if your treatment can get postponed by 3 months, 6 months, 1 year, 2 years 3 years delay, good on ya! Or you are a kind of special VIP that is higher than most ordinary people in the queue, not like others who either have to swallow those crazy insurance bills to jump the queue or wait in the public long list to see the hospital considering your sickness is worth to be treated, by those docs working for both public and private...and you are proud of such system? This system is really sick.
@heidif5585
@heidif5585 7 дней назад
@snapper69996666 Good that you never have to pay for your medical needs. Unfortunately, it doesn't apply to everyone... no free ambulance for younger people like me (30s) , nor ongoing physiotherapy after 5 sessions. True that our emergency service is pretty good.. However, you need to have lots of patience when it comes to free non-urgent services. For example, in 2023, the average waiting time for community dental services stands at 16.7 months in VIC. I think the point of this video is to show Chinese efficiency. To show a different point of view from what you see on Western media. Yes , the Chinese need to pay for their service, but they get things done very quickly (Eg. Blood test, CT results within hours, many same day surgery) and the standard is quite high too. (Well. Of course depends on which hospital you go to... same in Australia)

Absolutely. The hospital gives inpatients a daily itemised bill with a 2am cutoff time, and those IV bottles literally cost tens of yuan each, while the cost of smaller things like needles and dressings were in single digits.

Your concern is non sense in China. The respiration disease patient will stay in different departments with air circulation control. This is only for orthopedic patients.
@user-nt6xu1qz4p
@user-nt6xu1qz4p 9 дней назад
Patients with respiratory diseases will be assigned independent wards. Of course, if ordinary patients want to stay in a single ward, it is also possible, with only an additional fee. This depends on the patient's own choice.

Health care is not entirely free in china. If you are poor, life isn't that great. If you live in England every one has the same health care service. Nearly 643000 people went bankrupt because they couldn't pay medical bill in America each year. At least this won't happen in china.

everyone has read/heard about the huge problems the NHS is now going through. In fact there are plans - aren`t there - to make it insurence based rather than a tax based paid for system. Singapore has a fairly good method of insurance based health care - Hong Kong hasa both public and private with a growing interface between the two and government paid for scheme for elderly to get free private health care. the problem for the NHS is UK government military spending.

The United States is the most powerful country in the world, possessing the highest medical technology. Why does the United States have the most deaths from COVID-19 in the world? China's population is several times that of the United States. Why is China far less likely to die of COVID-19 than the United States? That's because China's public health governance is already the best in the world. If we hope that China can prevent the virus from spreading globally. That's very simple. It only needs that all countries in the world are under the leadership of the CPC. Otherwise, the Chinese government can only manage its own country well. Whether others are dead or alive, we are powerless.
