It’s a savage world. And we must be on top. Keep educating and as you get older you will see. It’s definitely not for the faint hearted and it certainly isn’t humane.
@@MrSiah007think he means we're not so far removed from our natural inclinations and tendencies. Social engineering and societal boundaries only go so far in that regard. That's why you will hear people say we're just animals at the end of the day.
I once saw a WWII propaganda poster with the prototypical German and Japanese with the text "It can't happen here". But it can. There are people who will do these things in every country. The measure of the ethics in a country is the extent in which those people are restrained from power.
This pod gives me "shawn ryan" vibes. LOVE IT! And im calling it now, this will have tens of thousands maybe hundreds of thousands of subs very soon with this constant hard work and dedication!
@scottbriggs7936 He was good when he first got on RU-vid but it's just podcasting now. He had really good firearms training videos but he removed everything and put it behind a $20K paywall
We Brits used enhanced interrogation in Northern Ireland from the mid-seventies until mid eighties. It was adjudicated as “torture “ -sleep deprivation -stress positions - white noise - humiliation - we “exported” these techniques around the. We used internment without trial - I.e. detention and torture with no end date. It was a disaster and was disbanded by UK gov’ as it didn’t work; Any info’ gained was given in desperation and quickly fabricated /Giving you exactly what they think you want to hear. In addition this UK policy in N. Ireland ironically ended up acting as an efficient recruitment sergeant for the IRA - talk about the “law of unintended consequences”! To say that this torture programme was counter/productive is now acknowledged to be an understatement. It caused terrible shame and loss of credibility for the IL. This previous UK situation is analagous with the later US conduct in Iraq
All the people criticizing these alleged tortures...... What's would you do if you were in the same room of the person who killed your mother in the world trade center?. she jumped out or fell out 90 stories to her death to keep from burning alive. What would you do if in the same room with that person alone? So stop riding your high horse
7:25 Future historians will find it odd how much the TV series "24" influenced politicians and the general public to approve of torture as a successful tool against terrorism. Every time torture is discussed people instantly start talking about the ticking time bomb scenario, without realizing they've taken as fact something that's purely fictional
If you think that the people who run this country sit around watching TV shows and get their ideas about how to handle things from it you seriously need a reality check, those people are so busy they generally don't have time to watch TV, and this guy can sit around with all his 22 years later post facto wisdom talking about the "Ticking time bomb fallacy" all he wants but perhaps him and you both should think back to when all of this happened, you and everyone else can play innocent all you want these days but the fact is back then the American people were holding the people who run this country responsible for seeing to it that another 9/11 didn't happen. You do remember 9/11 don't you? The people jumping out of those buildings because they'd rather have jumped to their own death than burn alive, and Osama Bin Laden sitting around with an ear to ear grin all pleased with himself bragging about what he did and how there was more to come, forgotten about that have you? Because I'll guarantee you weren't sitting around back then talking about no ticking time bomb nonsense and how we shouldn't concern ourselves with Osama Bin Laden, and neither was this guy, he can say whatever he wants 22 years later but he wasn't saying that back then I'll guarantee you. ALL OF US wanted the same two things, the people that were behind that taken care of and any chance of it happening again stopped no matter what the cost or whose toes got stepped on, and we didn't care if some of them got bloodied up in the process, we handed the people running the show a blank check to do whatever it took and whoever it took getting bloodied up in the process. The difference between me and people like you and that guy is I'm willing to step up and admit how I felt and what I expected of the people in charge back then, and I don't feel bad one bit for someone who got his head bounced off a cement block wall until he's been reduced to a special ed level of brain capacity, I'll say the same thing now I said back then, which is "good". And let it be a lesson to anyone else in this world, if you're going to attack America in such a cowardly way then sit around laughing and dancing in the streets about it and brag then expect to get your head bounced off a concrete block wall until your reduced to a special ed level of mental capacity. All anyone does these days is criticize the people running the show back then about how they did it, asi if they'd have done any better, well seeing as how they got who did it and the fact that there hasn't been any more planes flying into buildings I'd say they did what they were supposed to do, and if you wanna live in a land where this guy's running the show and after an attack like that happens and the people responsible promise more's coming and you're following someone who says "Ah, don't worry about it, that couldn't possibly happen again" knock yourself out, because that's the same exact thing the people running the show in Japan said the day after Hiroshima, "Ah, don't worry about it, even though they promised more they couldn't possibly do that again", and we all know how that worked out for them.
Perhaps 24 was more about getting the public to agree with torture programs. Given the CIA’s past and current involvement in the MSM, Hollywood and Big Business, would it be much of a stretch?
Exactly. I remember my classes on the Law of Armed Warefare. Enemy prisoners may be held “for the duration” per the Geneva conventions, and yes, that’s plural. War time detention of prisoner is preventative, to keep them from rejoining the fight, not punitive. Not punitive, so no trial required.
Why is it so easy to dismiss the accountability for actions taken by radical Islamist terrorists? Is Oct 7, 2023 that far removed from collective World memory? (1200 killed, 240 hostages) How much of Islam's "obey or die" choice is the World supposed to tolerate? Where is the Hamas rule of law regarding how long one can be held without trial? Mr. CIA-selling-his-book-boy finds his moral compass after how many non-combatants are killed and wounded upon his counsel...oh, please. Radical Islam has forced its question upon the World for 1,424 years unchanged...1) Obey or 2) Die. Notice there is no 3rd option of "thanks but no thanks"?
@@ceddavis And per Geneva conventions there are standard for treatment, where torture is certainly prohibited. The whole argument made here was that they aren't soldiers protected under the Geneva conventions, yet also "enemy combatants". So they got neither POW protections nor civilian protections. And no jurisdiction protections, nor extradition.. Just a black hole, in the lawless Guantanamo.
The same outcome was lived out. They were never going to get tried. Use the techniques as a reason or the gvt never prosecuted.no one got justice. Thank you alphabets.
@@thedappercook yeah that's my bad g I caught that later lol I was like what there's more lol, great work by the ways its been a minute since a videos drawn me in like that I'm glad I ran into your channel
Great interview bro! For being a newb channel your production comes off like u been doin this for years. Not sure if ur trying to do this but ur interview gave me a similar vibe like Shawn Ryan Interviews which are always on point n hope ur just as successful as he is
And there is zero proof that one shred of information was discovered by the EIT. If anything it delayed investigations why they validated the lies the terrorists told them to stop the torture. They were tortured for the pleasure of the interrogators. That’s it.
@@cpgdallas You are 100% correct on referring this. People will say anything, even loads of bull to get you to stop hurting them. Get hi prize prisoners and instead they're turned into gibbering trash that we can't glean useful information out of them.
I really enjoy your podcast Mr Fisher. My father was a tier 01 Operator and I was formerly involved in other things, so to have intelligent discussion on things we never really spoke about is definitely refreshing. Well done.
Jesus, I know the guy was an uber POS but 10 days in a coffin with roaches crawling all around you for someone with an irrational fear of insects is just diabolical (and leaves no "visible" signs of torture)
Well internationally, the US treats their prisoners of war better than most of the planet. I wonder how the taliban, Japanese, Chinese, north Koreans, Iranians treat their prisoners of war? Hahahaha
Great guest, video quality is excellent, the set is appropriate and professional, great lighting, multiple camera angles - live the production values. Enjoying your work, keep it up. I thought the video ended a little abruptly but was excellent across the board, would recommend.
The british used similar tactics in Nortern Ireland during the Time of Troubles. They called it HCI, highly Cohesive Integration. With the same results the CIA had with Enhanced
This guy reminds me of my middle school social studies teacher. Made a lot of sense to me when I took his class. Learned a lot in middle school social studies. Then I went to high school and the history teacher I got was just batshit crazy. Whenever I tried to make a point about something in the text book, he would come back with some complete nonsense. Entertaining though, most kids loved taking his class. Guess whose name I remember and whose name I forgot.
I guess you could always not be a fucking asshole. No trial, no due process. Could just be some asshole wants them out of the way so he can steal their wife and tell the American operative they're a terrorist.
Thank you so much Dalton you are AMAZING!! I just found you because of this interview. Grateful new sub here! You are so knowledgeable and you are on equal footing with the people you engage with being so over studied. Thank you so much for your hard work Im so glad I found you!! 💕🙏🙏
The war on Iraq started because literally someone told them that sadam has WMDs or something very similar while being tortured because thats what they wanted to hear, when later he was asking why he lied he told them the exact same thing, he just wanted the torture to stop and telling them what they wanted to hear would do that.
To be fair, the nerve gas Saddam used against the Kurds qualify as WMD. The genocide against the Kurds and the constant violation of sanctions did justify military action. Just not the way they laid out the intelligence. It also didn't justify the torture.
I think it was Socrates said no great country has ever felt restrained to obey laws to its own detriment but that still doesn't make it right - providing one is smart enough to find alternatives and the problem is really important other ways should be found.
Waterboarding goes back to the Phoenix Program of the Vietnam war. The intent wasn't for tortured prisoners or what info they could tell someone. The intent was to create a climate of terror where if the Phoenix program found you you were going to be mercilessly tortured by S. Vietnamese officials with the CIA watching often in a safehouse. It was only years later after the war that the program was completely demoralizing to the Vietcong. So it was the fear of indiscriminate torture that drove morale way down. An estimated $80,000 were captured or gave up with a death toll around 25,000. (so it's an instrument of terror NOT some heavy intel gathering operation)
3:05 Humus, wrecked 'im. Damn near killed 'im. Really, humus in the rectum. That sounds like new age medicine, an alternative treatment you might receive in San Fran or Mexico or a cruise ship. Seriously how bad is humus in the rectum? Is there something I'm missing? You fill my ass with humus how bad can it be. I certainly ain't telling where I hid the Twinkies.
In 2012, Kiriakou was charged and later pleaded guilty to disclosing the identity of a covert CIA officer, becoming the first CIA officer to be convicted for exposing the agency's enhanced interrogation program. He was sentenced to 30 months in prison

This guy starts by saying he was never part of the enhanced interrogation then goes on to talk as if he’s an expert, I hope no one is ever jailed for torturing jihadis 😂
Woe aboutely awesome informative channel, I always wonderfed and now I have a much better understanding of the darker side of what is going on in the world. Thank you eye opening
Get Shawn Ryan on here! At the end of the video you said to like it and leave a comment that you read every single one. Okay we'll check this out. You're just starting out right? Whatever you're doing it's working already because I can tell your channel is going to be hot. I'm telling you right now I know Sean Ryan's channel was going to be hot when it first came out😂😂 whatever you're doing just tweak it 2 Perfection but don't change anything major because whatever you got going on right now is working for you brother. The interview, the whole interview I might say lol it was actually dope exclamation point I loved it. And I've seen him interviewed on Danny Jones and somewhere else but this interview was hands down the best one. It's about the questions you asked and how you let the guest do the talking. That is where your channel is going to thrive. You don't insert a bunch of nonsense you just let the guest talk. But the questions and the topics you choose to talk about are a big part of it. Keep up doing what you're doing I look forward to watching your channel and watching it grow. Many blessings❤❤❤
Thanks for that feedback my friend! Would love to have him on. Need to make a few changes to the format moving forward but my interview style of keeping my mouth shut definitely won't change. Blessings to you as well and happy new year!
something fishy about this whole interview imo. the guy talks to openly about stuff imo. about his story he was too high up, knows too much, talks to open. how can you be in specific position where you clearly inow your involved if fishy stuff and then complain about it openly after service? wrote a book to promote? the whole setup is kinda sus
... read about him. Prison etc. Just because you're suspicious doesn't mean you have accuracy. Try Andy Clarks The Experience Machine how our minds predict and shape reality. That may help your certainty.
Great content. Great video. Great channel! Honestly, I don’t want to recommend who you should bring on, because I have a feeling whatever I recommend, your idea will be much much better. Go with whatever you think is right. It will be awesome.
I feel no remorse for the people who were interrogated with these techniques.. What about the people who were burned alive or beheaded or killed in terrorist attacks
Yes. This guy had a guilt trip for something he participated in. He was CIA not a boy scout. It's called a War with Terrorists and Terrorism. You think they give A Rats Ass about human and civil rights?? They think the Geneva Convention Nations are a joke. This all the ECHR type of BS that's destroying We stern Civilization by Judicial fiat. Un elected Utopiates trying to rewrite thousands of years of human History with Grandiose thinking and rationalizing their superior intellects as if they were God's with new amazing Ideas and actions. Total sociopaths. Dangerous Sociopaths..
So, he did not want to participate in it because he thought it was a "torture" and therefore some prisoner at some point may get killed and then his ass could be on the line and he did not want his ass to be on the line so he did not want to participate. Ok, clear now.
@@TheMusicalProjectsByChabaud He's talking about stuff that's probably in court documents but since it's been so long since 9/11 most of us forgot. I didn't even realize nobody has been prosecuted yet for 9/11.
What the first comment said. I don't fully trust him, but it sounds like he was preoccupied with other things and didnt involve himself with a majority of the corruption and the human rights violations. Then when he started to speak up just a little bit. They decided to throw him under the bus under the exposed supposed violation of revealing secrets of a agent, or something similar.
