Got goosebumps at the beginning and the end on start up! What a car, what a piece of rally history. Mcrae was my hero and got me into Imprezas like so many others. When you describe a certain part of the car, your camera needs to be focused on that part to let the viewer see exactly what you see and what exactly you are talking about! There was a high percentage of camera time on you and not on the car when you could have been showing the roll cage in detail, the underside, suspension, car lines etc. You're editing needs to be on point with your description. Constructive criticism, sorry!!
Would have been good if you explained what the switches do and what all the parts under the bonnet were. What does P.T.T. mean and marker mean on the wheel? Guess the paddle is back for up, forward for down?
I think P.T.T is push to talk so he could communicate with service crew at base 👍and the marker on the wheel at the top is for a quick reference to central position for the driver because it has a quick rack steering and it doesn't turn far lock to lock .
@@leebrindley8462 ah ptt makes sense cheers. The marker I meant was the button marked 'marker'. Something to do with letting the team know where he is on the stage I guess.
@@thiscocks Not sure what it does on WRC cars, but i know on F1 steering wheels the driver also has a "mark/note" button. It's so then that they can press it anytime they want to make a note of something say a weird noise, dodgy upshift etc then back in the pits when they are going over the telemetry data the drivers and engineers can see in the data at that specific time if anything was unusual. it does require the driver remembering why he's pressed it though
Was this car originally outfitted with AWD, or just built when it became the WRC car? If so, are you able to tell where the parts for the conversion came out of?
