My favourite place to go is Corfu! I stayed in Roda and had two little girls aged 3 (difficult) in our family group and they didn’t want anything off the menu, they wanted sausage and chips 😳🤭. The waiter said it’s not a problem as I tried to convince them that they would like other choices on the menu. The waiter insisted that they would cook them sausage and chips. After everyone eating the basket of fresh bread and getting their main courses, I asked about my daughter and niece’s meals. They said that they would be two minutes, John they had sent someone on a moped to a town near Sidari for sausages for them. That is why I love Corfu, they aren’t just friendly but are genuinely nice people. The’Greek Night’s are always amazing in the taverna’s, by the way I love the shot of Adriana in the pool through the glass, what a cool print that would be! 😉

I was in Greece 3 weeks ago and spent 4 days in Corfu.. It was the most amazing holiday I've had since covid.. The beaches are magnificent... I hired a car which i suggest you do, if you truly want to experience the island properly. And as a result I was also able to snorkel in about 10 beaches in different parts of the island. The Greeks are also very kind and nice... Kalispera to you wonderful people!!

My ferry stopped at Corfu to drop off travelers. All i could see was lush countryside and tropical foliage. What a difference when i arrived to the barren rocky islands i did visit including Santorini. To this day I wish i got off Corfu for a visit

Corfu is amazong... I went 4 times on my own one year as I felt so safe and welcomed! La Grotta bar in Paleokastritsa is the best bar ever with amazing views... They filmed a James Bond film there! ♥️

We love our island....and there is so much more...every village is different..and there are 220 villages to explore..all with donkey trails in between. Great for hiking!

I spent 2 weeks in Corfu in 1985, what a place! Took the ferry over from Brindisi and would bypass that on the next visit as it was 8 hours long. However, the beaches on Corfu Island were fantastic !! May need to go back and see how it's changed since 85

I also took the ferry from Brindisi in 1985!!! during my months long backpacking trip. Sadly I never left the ferry and went on to Santorini. Big mistake.

@@xaviperarnauriera8857 Alright so since you are going in August, in the 15th of August I would suggest going to Corfu's highest mountain Pantokrator, then visit Canal D Amour, Logas the sunset beach (both Canal and Logas are close so visit both the same day). Then I would suggest going to Palaiokastritsa and try to rent a boat (with or without a driver, the beach there is crystal clear and blue) to take you to the beaches that can't be accessed by car like Paradise Beach and some more. Ai Gordis, Kontogialos and near beaches. Now for Landscape, I suggest Aggelokastro or also called the Castle of the Angel. Corfu town - old fortress, skyview cafe in Kanoni (you can watch planes pass by cause it's near the airport and it has a nice view) and last Kaisers throne (its a bit far from the Corfu town but it has a really nice view)

People are nice and gracious everywhere I go, but Greece was a standout. Sit down at a restaurant: “here’s a free grappa while you look, why not try a free dakos, then we’ll take your order.” “We’ll take our bill, please.” Ok, sure. In the meantime, here’s a free plate of melon, and the another free grappa, then a free coffee….then the bill. Such sweet, generous and warm people. We loved our trip and are planning another. Greece is truly a gem in this world.

We took a yellow boat (nyc taxi livery) from the beach at Sidari and headed west, the waters were absolutely crystal clear to the bottom, we dropped anchor and realised that they were thirty feet deep. After 10 minutes their was beach after beach with tall cliffs with absolutely nobody on them (you could only access them by only boat). It was the highlight of our hols, the children could be left to be themselves and enjoy the beach free of other people etc... I always hire a boat now! 🥰

if you mean Canal d Amour it´s 15 min from the center and you can swim into the cave and if you swim through the cave you can swim to other rocks if you are a good swimmer. I did it and absolutely loved it!

A great example of the amazing diversity of landscape and local cultures you can find in Greece. And that's only the islands, wait until you discover the mountains in the mainland...

You forgot one thing that Corfu was once a temporary place for Serbs to rest during the World War I period. Many Serbs starved, died and they were ill, thus they were buried at Vido Island and a Serbian musician Milutin Bojic made a song dedicated to the Blue Tomb. There were many museums and many cosmetics about Serbs there living until 1916 and 1917 they left Corfu to go on Macedonian Front.

Been to Corfu about 18 times in my life. Absolutely one of the most beautiful and friendliest places to visit and stay. We normally stay at the north of the island in Acharavi. So many great tavernas up there. When we do visit Corfu, we stay in the self catering apartments. The owners are always welcoming and so pleasant. You just have to visit every square inch of the island. Arilas west of Corfu is where we are going again for the second time ! With the whole fam. Can not wait. Great vid mate! You ever visit Corfu again, be sure to visit Achilleas palace. Beautiful.

@@sarahjane8949 Hiya. Sidari is a great place to visit ! Lots of shops and restaurants to visit. And quite a few bars also :). You have Roda round the corner and a bit further up is Acharavi, which is one of the places I’ve most visited. I recommend hiring a car from your apartment whether you’re staying or simply getting the bus as it’s a lot cheaper than a taxi out there :). I highly recommend Achilles palace as it’s beautiful and also a must visit is paleokastritsa (excuse my spelling). I really hope you enjoy your visit to Corfu. I’m going in early June and will be uploading some Corfu content :). Hope you have lovely time !!

The only greek island I have had so many negative experiences with that I will never ever return. Weird and unfriendly people, taxi drivers are stealing - they charge huge amount of money and don´t give receipt of payment. A price of a 20km drive was as much as my flight ticket! There is no taximeter in the car so the price can be anything. An advice: ask for price before your ride and always ask for receipt of payment. At the second time I asked for receipt of payment and the driver asked me "why do you need that?" I wasn´t satisfied with other services too. Whenever I asked something 99% of the people were rude and didn´t really speak good english or didn´t understand simple questions. Bus drivers and employees at the green buses never helped and were very arrogant. In comparison to Lefkada where the bus driver and the employee who sold the tickets on the bus were very helpful and asked "where are you staying, we can stop closer to you accommodation as well if you want." In Corfu I booked a tour to Sidari by minibus. The minibus had 2 stops, at the first stop I asked the bus driver whether this stop is closer to Canal d Amour or the next one.. and he almost yelled at me... he told that this is the beach (it wasn´t Canal d Amour) I asked him are you sure... he told me you can get there only by boat (SCAM!).. he got very angry and asked me to get off and showed me there is the beach (which wasn´t Canal d´ Amour beach...). I got off the bus and walked there it was 15 min walk from the center. The boat ticket costs 20 Eur that´s why they tell that you can go there only by boat. You can walk there and swim in the cave. He was soooo rude I was shocked. I wanted to drink a lemonade in a restaurant and they told me to leave if I don´t eat anything. I have been to other greek islands and it has never been a problem. Such thing has never happened on other islands and actually nowhere in the world. When you book sth you can´t even ask about a trip for more details. I wanted to book a yacht trip but the employee was so annoyed cause I asked her where and how long the swim stops are.... their mentality is: pay and leave as soon as you can. I didn´t book because her attitude was awful! I will do it on another greek island. :) I could write more cases but I am lazy to write that much. To summarise I don´t even consider Corfu a greek island. Greek people are lovely and helpful. 99% of Corfu people just want to rip off tourists and they don´t provide a service. And no this is not the most beautiful greek Island. Other Ionian islands are much more beautiful, Lefkada and Zakynthos are breathtaking with friendly people and excellent services. I also love Crete (because of the people- cretan people are wonderful!!) but I prefer ionian islands cause they are greener.

I love Corfu, but didn't I get it right that he paid 35 thousand a night on the hotel? I think I misunderstood because it can't be... If so then I don't need to have a look on the other indications. I suppose dinner would be a thousand or so😅

Apart from Corfu Town, you've really missed the best bits of the island, but i wont mention them because i'd prefer they weren't swamped with tourists

You missed the summer residency of the Austrian Queen Sisi! It’s not very big but amazingly beautiful and the history of the location as well as the history of Queen Elizabeth as a person is just as fascinating!

I would like to see more emphasis on the sights there, and less on stuffing your face. I mean really no one is going all the way there to eat, you can eat anywhere. (The world is covered in great restaurants)
