How does he afford the maintenance on that thing? Not hating just a real question bc most private plane owners of smaller aircraft charter theirs to not take a huge financial hit.

As a pilot I would like give a few pointers here... First of all it's possible that he owns the plane courtesy of cargo jet and that's why they still have the logo inscripted on it. An old used B 767-200 is isn't 186 mill but something far less than that.. Furthermore I have taken the liberty of scrutinising on the registration and I can tell you for a fact that it still belongs to Cargo jet/Elan Express. The interior may have costed something less than a million or slightly above a million dollars to remodel it. If you ask me there must be some serious agreement played down between cargo jet and Drake that was penned down and signed for them to give him the plane. This model was bound to be retired in 2 or three years and therefore it is very possible to remodel it and have it ran less flight hours as a private plane which would give it approximately another 5 to 6 years before it goes to the graveyard. My take, it is a good sweet deal considering that cargo jet would still do maintenance and even storage.

-200 models aren't normally configured ETOPS, or global operations, so not only do you need mods to add to the aircraft (APU, fuel, etc..) but you would also need to keep the aircraft in ETOPS configuration from maintenance, and virtually anything on the plane can be broke and would have to downgrade it to non-etops. Do you know how fucking expensive that takes?
