It's designed for the lower sections to be safe standing , Increasing the Capacity to 62,000
@BlueScouse4
@BlueScouse4 4 месяца назад
You can’t add 10,000 more people in just by safe standing ffs 🤦‍♂️. In order for it to be increased to 62,000 we’d need further planning permission and then the stadium would be actually expanded like the way Man City and Liverpool have done with some of their stands.
@edwardhaslam3840
@edwardhaslam3840 4 месяца назад
Yes you can, it's already planned for if/when the government approve changes to safe standing legislation

@@BlueScouse4 if a 2:1 ratio is approved (what they have in Germany) then you’re doubling capacity in any area you implement it. Another 10k is easily achievable on the existing footprint.

Beautiful stadium, but the design does not allow much for expansion

We won’t need it Everton are doing a good job of limiting interest and growth.

If you built a brand new stadium with a view of future expansion, you would just build a bigger stadium to begin with

Nice, but not as nice as Spurs stadium. The Tottenham Hotspur stadium is probably the best club stadium I've seen.

Beautiful stadium in the shittest location. Regent Road is a big long industrial estate, with heavy industry. Sewerage water works next door but 1, nearest public transport trains is a 15 minute uphill walk. No shops no pubs, nothing to cater to fans. City centre 20-30 minute walk, They put wind turbines on the river so wrap up well Toffees. Then the loss of all the shops and pubs around Goodison. Its going to cripple the Walton community. But as long as all the big money men are happy. A shiny new button on a dirty pair of overalls.

Yeah… the Titanic hotel, The Ten Streets development, the new apartments at the old Tobacco warehouse, the ‘Waters’ development and the new train station on Blackstone Street, along with new bus routes. Almost as bad as the area surrounding Lothair Road before it was demolished.

@@garybrereton7521 Yeah the sewerage works, the Molasas plant, the biggest scrap metal yard in Europe the concrete plant the asphalt plant and dont forget the stinking cargoes being unloaded making Regent Road more HGV friendly than crowd friendly, OH and the worst thing, depressed Everton fans have water all around to go drown their sorrows, Yeah all the developments you mention are posh apartments for the snotty rich.But still surrounded by stinking heavy industry. Lovely stadium and if they had built it on the other side of the Liver Birds at the site of the tax offices, that would have been perfect river positioning with existing infrastructure to cater to the fans. bus routes Brunswick station numerous food outlets a shorter walk into town. I personally think the site of the Everton Women`s ground in Walton Park was the absolute wasted diamond of a plan, They could have simply swapped pitches. Build the new stadium on Walton park and redevelop Goodison to cater to the Womens games. All kept in the local community that helped Everton grow. The fans could have kept all their traditions around County Road and The Royal Oak and still be able to walk to the new stadium.

@@garybrereton7521 You wont be laughing when its pissing down sideways and blowing a gale from the Mersey, you will have a few choices, walk uphill for 15 minutes to Sandhills station and wait in the rain for the overcrowded train, or wait in the massive queue for the laid on buses because there is no bus route, or walk for 25 minutes into town. You could console yourself with an overpriced burger from the numerous food vans cause there are no shops at all. Its going to be fun watching the area get totally gridlocked after a game with only 1 way out from the stadium onto Regent Road. The police operation will cost the club more by needing more officers to disperse the crowd. The one sad old pub that can hold about 50 is going to need a few more staff. Just because the corrupt Mayor wanted a ``glamorous`` on the river location, chippy tits didn't think about the Mersey still being an industrial working river. Its going to be lovely for the rich, Pity their selfish thoughts didn't include the real fans in choosing the location. I am just gutted for the area surrounding Goodison Park, its going to die off fast. The Royal Oak and all the other local pubs for starters, without the Everton fans they will start to really struggle, The food shops will lose a large chunk of their yearly takings as well. Its not in the heart of any community, and the area has no soul. buggers up your song a bit.
