I always wondered if it would be a strategic foothold, if one invading army uses a hurricane to gain alot of ground durring invasion. No ressistance, saving ammo because nature did the work for you.
Aside from the accent, doesn't the *statement* get you?!? I rode out Ike & remember authorities saying the same thing to people riding it out on the shore. That still unnerves me. Whats worse is that they were right. NHC updates should be mandatory reading for all those in hurricane prone areas.
