They are not Indians anymore. Officially they are the 44th tribe of Kenya. They contributed a lot and even fought for Kenyan Independence. Harambeeee Nyayo., as President Daniel Arap Moi used to say.
Okay, two things: Firstly, no one fought for Kenya's independence. The British broke their own empire freely without being asked or forced. Secondly, whoever recognized Indians as a tribe in Kenya is a chump - Indians are NOT indigenous to Africa, in fact, they already have a whole country in Asia named after them: India 🇮🇳. You're only a tribe in an African country if you identify as African first and if you've been in Africa since forever, two requirements Indians don't meet. So Indians are free to be citizens anywhere in Africa, but they're certainly not Africans, and they know it!
A very hard working and dynamic community that has contributed enormously to the Kenyan economy making heavy investments despite having limited political representation. People might say that they underpay their employees: people are free to seek employment elsewhere. People might say that they keep to themselves: so do a majority of people in Kenya marrying voting and doing business along tribal lines. So stop hating start participating
Cut the crap. The Indians look down on Africans because they bring their colourist caste system from India to Africa. What are Kenyans supposed to participate in exactly? You clearly know nothing about the history of Indians in East Africa. They were brought by the British to be the buffer class between the Africans and the British. They misused their position and start abusing the local population, not a good thing to do when you are outnumbered.
@@humansparkler They look down on us because of our naivety and foolishness. The former president of Kenya declared them 44th tribe of Kenya despite their well documented racism towards us. It's not hard to see why they have no respect for us.
They're the ones who assisted in building the Mombasa kisumu Railway line and very useful 44th tribe of Kenya 🇰🇪. We have an Mp from kisumu city Mr Shabbir and he speaks luo language 😅

Har Amba = Harambee corruption of it and then picked up later on by Kikiuyus, difficult for some Muslims probably to accept it and they also chant it or use that ... Jomo Kenyaatta used rile up the crowd Harambee = Uhuru!!!!

I don’t really care about Sanskrit and all that. In Kenya you need to know Swahili. No wonder Indians were chased out of Uganda. They want to exploit Africa, live in Africa, but still be Sanskrit, Hindu or whatever. Be grateful Kenya did not chase you out.
The only places that do not ask Indians to leave once they become successful are the Chinese cities of Singapore and Hong Kong. This is because the Chinese are not jealous of people who are more successful than them. They watch and they learn and they try to do better.
Most of them have british passports despite them living in Kenya for long kenyans don't really see them as citizens they keep to themselves and most later migrate either to the UK or Canada they down have an affinity to the country they just love it for the convinience

As a Kenyan I would not regard Indians as Kenyans. Someone has already said that they use Kenya for convenience. For instance UK immigration record shows that there a lot of Kenyans living in Britain. But a close scrutiny reveals that its the Indians from Indian continent who were using Kenya passports to immigrate to UK. They rarely interact with rest of Kenyans. Infact the only place I have genuinely interacted with them is outside the Kenya.

Why don’t you let go of your inferiority complex and get on with it!! Indians came to build the railways you travel on! And they fought for and built this country too!
