All of his friends are gone to the beyond but Jerry Lee Lewis is still with us. The stories he can tell about Sun records and the early days of Rock & Roll.

The microphone next to the piano looks fantastic! I admire him so much for his pet cemetery and reverence for Man's Best Friend. His appreciation of keeping what works, like the kitchen, is astounding. He is definitely a horse of a different color, individual.

He lost everything to IRS & sold his home in the 90's with a addendum he was to live there until his death. So for 20+yrs he's lived there after selling the home. His overdue tax bill amounted to almost $2 million in 1988, part of the reason he filed for bankruptcy. That wasn’t the first incident either. In 1979 and 1985, the IRS swooped in and seized property such as motorcycles, jewelry, cars, and a tractor. Agents even showed up at his concerts and confiscated his fees.

That really was an incredible home tour, Jordan. I especially loved the kitchen! And we used to have one of those TV sets with the record player as part of it. They were pretty popular back in the '60s. Nice that he still lives there. Definitely going on my list to see one day.

That was a great tour . I'd love to take this tour someday in person. My mom got his autograph back in 1979 in Lithonia Ga. He was playing at a place called Country Roads that night. When my mom and her friend was leaving . They were heading to their car and a limo pulled up to them and Jerry asked them out . They just kind of laughed and told him nah . My mom's friend was gorgeous , but she passed away a few years after that . She had cancer and she was only in her 20's . That was a different time though. Thank you Jordan for sharing this awesome vlog !!

So cool Jordan. I am traveling vicariously through your blogs. My dad's first cousin was from Ferriday Louisiana. Back in the 50s when she was 14, Jerry Lee asked her to go to the picture show. Her dad would not let her, as Jerry was 17 or so already. Maybe if she had said yes, her life would have been a whole lot different Just a little trivia in my family with Jerry Lee Lewis!

Jerry Lee Lewis was not one of our favorites but this video was very informative and interesting to learn some things about him we never knew. Wow I wish I knew you were in town I would have taken you to Hernando just 5 miles south and showed you where Elvis use to sing as a 17 year old with The Eddie Bond Band. Eddie use to let Elvis sing 2 songs. Eddie never did like Elvis too much and thought he couldn't sing but when Elvis was traveling to film Love Me Tender, Elvis said I wonder what Mr. Eddie Bond thinks of me now!

@@juliearmymom7807 Where did Elvis sing in Hernando? The VFW on Highway 51 in 1951 or 1952 when he was only 16 or 17. They closed the old stage off and made a storage room out of it but it was on that stage. He sang two gospel songs.

Such great stories and music history. These giants of Rock and Roll are fast disappearing. It makes me feel old at 66 because so many I loved are gone. Great vlog as usual. The Elvis story was funny but also a little scary. Loved seeing the pictures with Ron Wood, Mick Jagger, and Keith Richards. I have a picture of me with Mickey Gilley from about 1975. I believe he is a cousin of Jerry Lee's. Happy New Year Jordan and Jah too!

I absolutely love Jerry Lee. I was a kid probably about twelve when my older sister came home with one of his albums. I know that’s when I learned to dance. LOL. (She made me dance with her) She’s passed but I have that memory. I wish you could have shown it all because I will never get to tour it however, I understand.
