I think at first they were fucking around being cocky idiots and then they wound up contracting a self induced mental disorder brought on by their awful, retard behavior and choices. They look fucked quite frankly. I don’t know how they’ll snap out of it or get the mental help they need.
it's like looking at a trainwreck. It's horrible, but you can't look away. Reality TV is similar. Looking at drama can be fun at times, like comedy: exaggerations of reality. Entertainment... In the US you can even see it in the news: "'They' are coming to get you!' Be afraid!". Soaps, showmatch wrestling. Them televangelists and religion, perhaps anything we do that is not instinctive: A lens to blur the vision, intentionally. The sight of reality can hurt at times, I suppose. Perhaps some of those people figure distractions serve them well, similar to pointing and blaming ;)

As a mother myself, I have never been offended by this because I know and understand exactly what it means. When entering a new relationship and you have children you are also bringing along a "full load" and it's up to the new partner to decide if it's something they are prepared to take on or not. This term is not degrading in any way, shape, or form.
