I live in Bergen, Norway and I have this jacket. Since the mountain's unpredictable climate here is full of rain, wind and a little sun when the frost is down to -10, I can only say that this THIN jacket has turned out extremely well. After three different jackets that I combined, now I only use this one. From me all recommendations.
Nice review ! I wish all the reviews for this product (especially the mens version) were as informative in terms of spec/look/feel too as this. Thanks again
I treated myself to one of these yesterday (from Trekitt of course). It's a fantastic jacket. It's not as warm and nowhere near as light as my Arc Cerium LT but I reckon it's going to be a fantastic all rounder for short hill and outdoor walks where I don't need to go super light. I am yet to compare this and Cerium's performance in strong wind conditions but I think this jacket is going to really outshine my Arc. The only thing I hate about Infinity Microlight is the limited colour choices for men. I was forced to go for the Orion blue. The plain black, blue, and orange were all boring. The women's line has infinitely better colours.
Either are more than suitable for everyday use but the Infinity is more weather resistant if that's a big concern for you. Both outer fabrics feel pretty tough.
Great review Hanna, can somebody from your team comment on how the men's version fit. I had a Rab Microlight from 7 years ago, when I tried to replace it two years ago the fit was so tight around the armpit and shoulder that I can't find a proper fit. Has Rab modified the fit since? Is it better now for people with broad shoulders and muscular backs?
It's still a little snug under the arms and back for someone with broad shoulders. Possibly take a look at Haglofs' V Series Mimic instead. It's slim around the waist but roomy in the shoulders and back. Harry www.trekitt.co.uk/clothing/jackets/haglofs-mens-v-series-mimic-hood-true-black__40204?currency=GBP&chosenAttribute=604796-2C5-L
How durable is the 13d face fabric when it comes to everyday use and maybe some cold weather use on trails. And would you say the men’s version in deep ink is somewhat purple or more blue in color? Thank you!
It feels thicker/more durable than it appears on paper. For everyday use and hiking, it'll be absolutely fine. Deep Ink is definitely more of a dark blue in person rather than purple. Harry
@@trekitt thank you! I went with black…I tend to be really picky/OCD about what kind of blue and hate when blue looks more purple/navy in different lighting.
