Behind all the memes and all the laughs, is a man who truly cares about the things he’s passionate about. Wrestling, SUG and the promotion of MMA. God Bless you Chael.
Cheal, I once saw u do a wrestling seminar type video , I was blown away by your skill the rolls, reversals, takedowns and throws, man that stuff would look great in a martial arts movie.
This whole video is impressive. The production the interviews and the class everyone shows. Definitely something to share with the young athletes coming up. This is the way.
This is good stuff! I'm from Bill Zadicks hometown and grew up wrestling in his program - by far one of the best programs in the country, at least at that time. I no longer wrestle but practice Brazilian jujitsu. I'm by no means great at it but a lot of the training and ethics he taught has stuck with me over these years. Absolute respect to him, and all of USA wrestling!
Awesome Chael! Got goose bumps when you mentioned the Army wrestlers. It would be awesome to do a deep inside look at the Army Greco team. I don’t think many realize how special these Soldier-athletes are. Mahalo
Wrestling is such an amazing sport. It's a lifestyle for alotta great people I've had the pleasure of meeting & learning from. I'm so happy I signed up that day in high-school it changed my life I can't really put it into words as cliche as that might be. It made a man out of me, for sure.
Man, the speed, the slips, the level changes; how they split their lead leg between the opponents stance....wtf!!!! Amazing! Makes you wonder how The Bad Guy wrecked some studs on the matt back in the day.
@@AngryBengry Wrestling is the most exhausting thing you will ever do your entire life. I used to run a 7 and a half minute mile, could run stair laps for days, was in amazing shape, and 2 min's on the mat, i was wiped. It's brutall
Wrestling looks easy on TV, but it’s by far the most intensive form of exercise you will ever do. Hat’s off to each member of team USA for all the insane training/competition they have to endure.
@@DrMurdercock I don't mean to come off as a douche but a 7 n half min mile is pretty average for anybody who even kinda works out. But yes I agree with everything else wrestling is ridiculously hard !!!!
@@DrMurdercock yeah I've been training BJJ for about ten years so you think I'd be used to grappling but 30 minutes of wrestling tires me out like nothing else. It's a tough sport
That's if they make the transition soon enough. A lot of these guys nearing 30 it's too late. You need a few years striking and bjj at least. The young college guys have time.
Now just imagine if Uncle Chael decided to slight Gable Steveson and enter the Olympic Trials? We would have Chael entering as a favorite for gold rather than Steveson.🤔 A sight to behold!
To encourage offensive wrestling. If you miss the throw or hold an experienced wrestler will belly down right away to keep from getting thrown and hopefully get the slip call.
I would watch this part of Chaels channel all day! As for his other crap, not so much anymore. It's seems like he's struggling for content and talking just to hear himself talk!
But more to worry about in mma, plus the wrestling skills aren’t the same and they’re just training so they don’t care much about going all out and trying new shit
As a brit I have no understanding of wrestling other than the fake wwe stuff and what I see in mma so I really appreciate getting to see wrestling in its true form like this! 🙏💪
@@baspnglr1919 we do now that mma has grown so popular here but it isn't that long ago you would of had to travel half way around the country to get decent training like bisping did.....its not the same as america and Russia for example where it's on the school curriculum.
Thinking about it, the only proper wrestling I have ever seen is what chael has shown us or watching his events on fight pass......I didnt even realise kurt angle was actually a legit Olympian wrestler until chael mentioned him, I thought he was just a wwe character. 😆
I think you should look into wrestling in Britain some more:) my wrestling coach is in his 80s and he's lived and trained here for more than I've been alive Not being rude btw buddy, it's definitely worth some research:)
