This is Ahmed Tawer from the United States. Thank you so much for showing us the beauty of Uganda through the lens of Makerere University. I love Uganda, and Kampala and Entemebe cities are the ones of the few places in Africa that I put on my short list to visit.
Thank you for sharing. Lived in Wandegeya until 1972. We lived on Mulondo Road. Our house is now Mafuta Mingu clothing store. I see the gate is still there 😊. I remember the main building at Makerere. And remember how green it used to be. I took swimming lessons at the pool. Wish you had shown the pool. Thanks for the walk through Wandegeya. Nice to see it booming. ❤
Love from San Diego California, born in Uganda I remember makerere long long time ago and I loved your beautiful ugandan accent,I would listen to you all day. Will try to find more of your content
Thank you for the lovely tour, for some of us who are not Ugandan but have heard so much about Makerere University that was good to see. Keep up with the good job
Great content alot has changed in MuK since I left 2013. A lot of renovations and news buildings other than Lumumba seems others have been left in a pathetic state.
I think they would eat the money, I heard they collected a lot of money to renovate the Ivory tower but no much has been done yet (*don’t quote me on this tho) like it could be finished by now.
16/200 who keeps ranking this thing as tops in Africa, This is an opportunity for private universities to grow there, that's if they can put money where their mouth is!!!!!
I was there 87-90! It was FREE for All students back then and we got a bursary too every month! I was in Africa hall! The best years of my life were spent MUK! Shout out to Olive kintu, Robert Musisi, Martin byakuleka, Florence ibaale and Betty Kitonsa! Banange i don’t know how I survived coz we partied every Thursday to Sunday! Brilliant!
