THEY ARE CALLED ROTORS. I cant believe how many times I, a real pilot has to fact check everything. Please say the units in knots. Pilots watch this crap too. Also, don't say pilot and co-pilot. Say captain and first-officer. Oh my god :(. That "c-5 Galaxy" was a c17. These are definitely beyond facts. They're LIES.

Helicopters (other than compound helicopters) don't have propellers, they have rotors; typically a main rotor and a tail rotor. The main rotor provides lift, thrust, and roll control, and the tail rotor (also called the anti-torque rotor) provides yaw control.

The VH-3 does not have three engines. It has two GE T-58's and an APU, (Auxiliary Power Unit). The picture you showed of what you called a C-5 was actually a C-17. Helicopters do not have propellors they have rotor blades which are your wings, which is why they are also called rotary wing aircraft.

@@aljohnston453 It is a gas turbine but can only provide electric power and CANNOT TURN THE MAIN GEAR BOX ON THE VH-3. In many other aircraft it can also provide air power for the pac's but that's it! I worked on and creed H-3's in the Navy!

It would be nice if you used someone who knows something about aircraft to proof read your copy. Helicopters don't have propellers, they have rotors. You do not "enlist" in the Marine Corps to become a pilot. All Naval Aviators (this includes Marines) must have at least a Bachelors Degree. They are comissioned officers who serve at the pleasure of the Commader-in-Chief, not Enlisted men who serve aterm defined in their Enlistment Contract.

Marine One only has two engines - VH-3, VH-60, and Osprey. The CH-53s, which had three engines, had three engines but were returned to the fleet years ago as attrition replacements.

The best thing about Marine 1 is how it allows the President to avoid answering questions from the Press, because he can’t hear them over the noise of the engine and rotors while he is walking to Marine 1. I refer to it as Chopper Talk.

They are NOT propellers but ROTORS. Propellers do what the name says, propel the aircraft forwards only whilst the LIFT is provided by wings. ROTORS on the other hand provide the lift and propulsion in any direction. The main rotor(s) are above the cabin and the TAIL rotor provides directional stability.

3 engines? The VH-3 and VH-60 each have 2. To be a Marine pilot, you can't "enlist"...have to be an officer, which requires a college degree.

@@zefdin101 Marine One has always used American helicopters. The first was manufactured by Bell Helicopter Co., followed by Sikorsky helicopters. Trump had nothing to do with the new helicopters in production; the contract was awarded to Sikorsky in 2014.
