I continue exploring the streets of Potrerillos, Cortés, of Honduras to see its restaurants, cafes, parks, characters, food stalls, shops, women's cooperative, municipality, and pool halls. Afterwards, my guides from Así es Potrerillos take me to visit a neighborhood that was previously dangerous and no one entered. I had spent the year 2015 in the Callejas Maradiaga neighborhood of Potrerillos to build a school alongside the parents of the community since many children studied under a shed made of rotten sheets. Now it is a neighborhood full of graduates, university students and working people. I enter the neighborhood with a lot of nostalgia and without knowing how the school would look like, how the children were going to be after eight years of not seeing them. Memories flood my mind as I get out of the car at the entrance to the neighborhood.
Thank you Así es Potrerillos for being the best guides in the city.
