Another big sayiing we had in the projects was "snitches get stitches". If things went down in the projects it was resolved by the people that lived there. Nobody talked to the police vs today where everyone is a snitch. It's pervasive not only on the streets but there are groups on the internet dedicated to snitching on people. Getting them cancelled. My neighborhood is two 2 avenues from bradhurst avenue I lived 152 between 7th Ave and Macombs Place in Harlem River Houses a few blocks from Pologrounds which located on 155th Street and 8th Avenue Across from Rucker Park And near the now removed Rooftop Skate Rink which is a parking lot now.
Harlem is DEFINITELY NOT the most dangerous neighborhood in NY. But the crack dealers were the enemies. They should have stayed out of Harlem. I also find it funny how people immigrate to the U.S. and talk so much about how great the country is where they came from. And pleas with the "Unique" is a good guy.
