Sometimes I listen to these good old songs and insert myself in that time frame! Going on 53 and still wanna cry because I miss these days of great music and harmony.
I feel the same way everyone that I knew and loved from 1980 is dead I just want to cry even my two cousins that was just like my brother and sister is gone but I got the memories
Man. I couldn't had said it any better. As a young boy then,I can remember hood dudes with their RICHARD "S WILD IRISH ROSE. AND TEARING THOSE SONGS UP AT THE STOREFRONTS. KNOW WHAT I"MTALKNBOUT
Im 21 years old, and im veeerrryyy old skool, and this is definitely one of my favorites!!!!! The song and the group!!!! Sends chills up and down your spine!!!! Sooo beautiful!!!!!!
This group and the Manhattans use to come to Jamaica and perform at the Pegasus in the early 80's....Beautiful harmonies and lead vocals...These songs will last forever...
BEAUTIFUL just BEAUTIFUL!! U dont get this QUALITY music anymore. The rush the lyrics the harmony!! Give me that old soul ANYTIME!!💕💕💕💕Still listening in 2019🎶🎵🎼💃
Ray Goodman Brown (The Moments) made New Jersey proud along with Kool and the Gang, Parliament Funkadelic, Whitney Houston and more. Made me proud to be from Jersey. Some of the best musical artists in the whole country.
This was my fathers favorite song, and as kid a would listen to it all the time as a reminder of him, this song is so underrated because of the incredible amount of talent in that era that this song gets overlooked, incredible harmony, great lyrics and overall an amazing song.
I have this record on vinyl. It belonged to my mother (I have all of her massive collection of records and 45s). I just remember her putting this on the turn table, opening the windows up in the summer time and her beautiful voice harmonizing with this. People would stop by our window just to listen. It does not get better than this.
I agree, that makes the record ! If you like a cappella, you should see the Oak Ridge Boys ! Yes, they’re a country music group but when they appear live, they do a whole gospel set a cappella that makes the night ! Blue Magic also does great a cappella !
This takes me back to the 8 track system in my father’s van I would pop this in while I would clean it on Saturday afternoons while to figure out a way to sweet talk a girl into chillin with me that in the van while my parents were sleeping. Good music & good times!
Did you have a cousin named Mike D Washington from East Palo Alto California?? Small world because he produced my group black Dynasty back in the early 90s
Absolutely beautiful. Ray. Goodman and Brown was right up there with the Main Ingredient, Stylistics, Manhattans, Earth, Wind and Fire, Chi-Lites, etc.
Lorraine, you were very lucky. Sadly Al Goodman and Harry Ray have passed away. And I do have many regrets in my life and one of them is not getting to see them at their prime, live in concert. I've been listening to their music since about 1975, dancing to these super romantic beautiful songs, buying their music back when they first called themselves the Moments. I still.have some of their music in vinyl records, CD'd ..You don't hear this kind played on the radio at all. American Bandstand and Soul Train and even the show Dance Fever is a thing of the past. Thank God I can listen to their music on You Tube, they'll never be forgotten in my book! God I miss those days! Love to everybody Ciao, Frank
THEY WERE THE BOMB I WAS SO MUCH IN LOVE WITH HARRY RAY IT BROKE TO MY HEART WHEN WAS TOLD HE HAD PASS, AND AL GOODMAN CAN ANY TELL ME WHAT CAUSE THERE DEATH, EMAIL AT gatorsgirl1951@gmail.com THANK YOU. CYNDY/LAS VEGAS,
Peggy Stoute Morin I saw Harry Ray when he came to Memphis with Luther Vandross the Show was in the Round . Which mean the Stage turned all the way aRound. #Priceless #Moment
Thank the lord I got to see them in concert along with the Stylistics and a couple other old school groups from back in the day. Amazing that they all sounded just as good in person as they did on the records and CD's. My only disappointment with the concert was that Ray, Goodman and Brown did a montage of their hit songs, instead of singing them from beginning to end. The Stylistics sang like 3 songs, but sang them from beginning to end. I was blown away. Couldn't believe how great their voices still were after all those years. Just amazing.
Brings back memories of my childhood with my mom. My mom introduced me to 70s 80s rb funk and disco. My favorite artist she introduced me to me is Prince. I remember be 6 years old and sneaking his dirty minds album on the record player. Ha Ha!!!!? I still listen to Prince. I definitely love ol skool.
This song always reminds me of when I graduated from the 8th grade in 1980 and the next year my first girlfriend of 4 years and I were going to be attending different high schools. It was a bittersweet time but this song was very special to us and it always brings a smile on my face to this day.
Ah, the years have rolled by. A good time when you could go out clubbing and the worst thing that could happen was a fist fight. Seldom would you see a gun! Thanks Ray, Goodman, and Brown whose music defines my youth. Grandpa has some great memories.
my daughter when she was a baby would sing this song it seems like yesterday but sheis thirtyeight yrs old i love this song inside of you there is nothing wrong with remembering the past but i wouldnt want to stay there so ok one more time inside of you then it is back to gospels form. lol
This group, was one of my favorite, group growing. Up these brothers were the best with such. Great voices, i don't think they will never be another Ray goodman and Brown RIP will always love you❤❤❤
Had never heard of this song before until I saw the old "Soul Train" episodes on Bounce TV early one morning some years back. I gotta say that this song shot up very high on my short list of favorites. I can't wait to find my "future wife" and I can play this to her along with the other songs on my short list of favorites. "Someday soon, someday soon" is what I tell myself, "in due time!" Ray, Goodman, and Brown will live on forever!
I'm glad that I experienced this type of music in real time, so many memories and so meaningful, this music now is straight garbage, I need my grown folks music, I'm sorry, no respect for your elders, no respect for each other, I appreciate this music for life, real talk.
Wowwww this song reminds me of my elementary school prom of 6 grade . When love was so innocent and beautiful! How many of you experienced that moment. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I can dig it, takes me back to WNJR Newark NJ Friday Night "Love Dedications" 1980 Lots of late night phone calls that got me yelled at(worth it though)
@@marlenedonelson7078 sooo...does that mean that you guys are still together...or, just that this songs brings up feelings of your love for him? I pray it's the former, rather than the latter!!💯❤💕💋
Yep exactly 2 days after my birthday I turned 17 on May 8th 1980 it was an excellent time and I remember that song like it was yesterday I was cruising around in my 1969 Chevy that I had. that was a awesome summer that year.
Ray Goodman & Brown (AKA The Moments) Was a really great band always had great music since way back when. I have One Of their compilations and every song from love on a two-way street, to special lady are great hits. love these guys they really know how to hit the heart.
This was my time in life to experience real music that meant so much to my life and what music like this was inspirational and this music sunk so deep inside your heart and soul ♥️
Yes.... These BROTHERS had an impeccable harmony and a serious unique style of delivery. Music is so generic today...!!! I find myself singing the bass or giving an attempt to sing bass on those / these songs, which refreshing and just Bad. ( Good) Thank you for your appreciation..!!☄ Dee from FLINTOWN 🔰👍✊🏾
