I'm from Kenya, and even some of our resorts don't rival what Naomi has going on with that space. It was amazing, and she's done a good job of keeping it low key, been to Malindi a bunch of times, don't nobody know she lives there......we knew she visits didn't know she had her own spot!
this is literally the vibe they give off. no offense but the mix of cluelessness and akwardness - they cant shake it off. looks like a presentation they didnt prepare for.
talking about the library I was expecting a "pleasing reading moment" after he said "I want people to come here and..." and then he strikes with "instagramable moment".... sad 😔
Very sad. It’s all for looks. Instead call it a sitting room but don’t call it a library when you display 20 books all color coordinated and staged to look like decorative elements. Libraries are for acquiring knowledge and filling the mind not taking insta photos. Sorry.
I stayed at this hotel last week… and I was blown away by everything! There wasn’t a bad space/corner at this hotel. Everywhere you look is picturesque and soo vibrant! Ken Fulk did an AMAZING JOB!!
@@lukedixon4832 You know, when "serious people" make a post on their social media it is free "serious promotion" for that space. 'Girlish girls' who spending daddy's cash vs other people who spending their own real money?
I was really confused when I saw the thumbnail. I thought this was gonna be my "I was today years old when I found out Pharrell was gay" 😂😂😂 My mistake, didn't realize they just own a hotel together.
Sucks to see so many negative comments... I've stayed here twice and the staff is amazing with so much detail all around. Whether you're taking Instagram photos or not, its a beautiful destination to create memories! :)
Pharell looks like he got the Dorian Grey secret to youth. He's almost 50 and looks more than half his age. Plus the hotel looks so dope, I love the look of this place; it's a definite VIBE!!!
@@compassbrian It definitely is Wes Andersonesque. A distinct 1960s style, modernized. The interior of the hotel is a little too unseasoned, but the pool area is very mature.
Has anyone mentioned “instagrammable moment” yet? Seemed like people brushed right past that. On another note, these guys are REALLY pleased with their hotel which just looks “aiight” lol
No, you not no one is saying This is a child throwing up after eating too much candy than have yogurt they should have read the script before filming The place looks so unnatural to imagine handpick each the trees
Its a little bit of history refreshed. The dictionary describes the word pink as: excellent, utmost, perfection, height( the colour between red and white.) The color of innocents: A little pink never kills anyone. Its a calm color for a busy life.
Your not the only one. The colour palette is wrong. It doesn't go with the actual building. It's like they just threw pastel cushions and accessories everywhere without considering the structure.
The green-colored glassware reminds me of a town in Tuscany, called Empoli, famous for its glass industry. They have dedicated to the town, that exact shade of green the glassware in the pink room has. The shade is called "verde Empoli" which means "Empoli green".
Wow, I honestly couldn’t tell if this was an old video they just reuploaded or a new one because of how young Pharrell looked in the thumbnail. The hotel looks amazing by the way, very whimsical and peaceful.
I know someone who went to high school with Pharrell. They were in the same class. She’s almost 57, so I think he may be a bit older than most may think! Brilliant! Cheers mates!!
The entire place looks super vibrant and fun. True to its name. I feel like i would be down to stay there for the experience. But I think I’m used to the regality and comfort of regular hotels that I’m not super blown away like I hoped I’d be. Can definitely see a lot of things being filmed here though and bunch of photoshoots.
I love this Hotel, I stayed there a couple years ago, I had no idea what I was walking into...As a Designer myself I was stunned, so much to look at so many details! I was like a kid in a candy store!
The whole place is designed to be a “photo moment” everywhere. It gets the point across and does a good job of giving you an entertaining place to stay, like a hotel should. Despite the positives, it looks like a maximalist millennial hell lol. Too much effort was put into creating backdrops for an Instagram photo and not enough thought was put into a lasting history. I wouldn’t be surprised if they had to do an entire revamp in 6 months, to try and keep up w/ the trends and speed of social media
This man just said “it’s amazing to have a place where you can just come and have a full instagramable moment” as if that’s the reason people book hotels 😂😂
This whole thing is just so inauthentic feeling! They’ve designed an entire hotel for people to put on social media and pretend they’re having a good time there, they show off an incredible space in the library then accidentally reveal the real reason it looks that way is so someone will instagram it.... cringe AF
My thoughts exactly! I’d personally consider it a design “no no” to un-ironically play up a certain roll for cheap aesthetic purposes. Makes things look like it has no meaning to it in my honest opinion.
I just want to escape the world for a month at that hotel with a a good pair of headphones, a laptop, digital piano keyboard, paints and canvas. Eat, soak up sun, rest, sip, create and create.
@AllenCherry as a rep of Tour and Travel for South Florida the situation this year 2021 was a challenge and was during spring break only the rest of the year Miami and South Beach is a wonderful place to be.
@@galaxylam84 Agreed! I've been to South Beach several times and can vouch that this area is AMAZING!(Kinda pricey, but so FAB) Yes, it's true that it became a bit unsafe during Spring Break but it was mainly because there was an obscene amount of young people with bad judgment, not making the best decisions. Sooo for everybody out there not sure about Miami right now, visit this vibrant place for yourself and you be the judge of your experience!
