Wife is Director of Goldman & Gill. They probably have a few billion to play with there OR he took a LOAN out against his stocks(so popular with the rich these days) say 200 million cash . You know that Kitty has 7 Certifications and licenses in finance. Important ones are 7 24 and 65. If he has L66 which he MAY have gotten in the last 3 years he is Legally able to say "hey, you Joe buy GME now, buy it in the next ten minutes and sell it no later than 3pm today." That is if he has the 66. But he is more Certed than 99.9% of all of the streets advisors. Good stuff, keep it up.

When checking Chwy volume you're checking entry dates after the date he crossed the 5% ownership, June 24, that made him register yesterday's filing.

Been racking my brain on this since 3am when I saw the SEC filing. Great video! My best guess is a combo of selling Chewy calls, margin, and having another account we may not know about but 100% guess on my part. Still holding GME myself

Regarding the lawsuit: I am a lawyer myself and my best guess is: somebody has been orchestrating this action. After recent incidents this somebody became aware of possible implications. The acusation of manipulation would require a research how exactly the price could have been manipulated. That could lead into a discovery about how price discovery that allegedly is affected by memes does actually work. Somebody decided to better avoid such discovery.

thanks for the info! my only thought here would be how would that not be thought of before filing this the first time? that's the very base of the case, so to me it'd seem like there would be a strategy conversation to even loosely define how they'd want to approach that.

discovery was definitely an avenue I thought of, another avenue would be that by getting a lawsuit in the public record many media companies would be able to capitalize on the headlines of "roaring kitty being sued" to drive the narrative in their favor. It doesn't matter if the lawsuit is frivolous if the idea is to push a negative sentiment, especially since people are more likely to believe the first piece of information they hear, not the eventual retraction.

To be clear, I’m not thinking he’s getting out. But, there is a big gap between his last post on 13Jun and a $225M position in CHWY, money has to come from somewhere. My best guess is a combination of things from the video. I would assume if he did exit any of his GME for this play, it’d be with the intention of building capital to purchase more.

He at least is or was selling GME to buy CHWY. I think there's a reason he hasn't posted a YOLO lately and it's because people would turn on him very quickly if they saw he sold his GME position, which he likely did. He's in it to make money and not be a holder of a company that has done nothing in 5 years except lose money.

My hunch is they wanted a negative headline. They got it, talked about it in the media all day Friday and Monday until the dismissal. Where did the update news that it was dismissed go? No where, sweep under the rug while DFV and GME with negative sentiment was all over the news

Another awesome video, live stream with Richard is a great idea! I also agree with you on the call volume for 7/5 being very risky with a choppy trading week with no catalyst. It’s a surprise how large the volume still is, that being said as we approach 7/19’s I believe this will increase the call walls at 25,30,35,40’s 🍻

As a position trader, here is what I would have done. I need to quietly sell off 9.0 m shares in a short time frame into a weak market. I would sell 5.5 m over 9 days, or 610 k shares a day. On the last day , July 1st I dump 3.5 m on the market. This would also explain the constant decrease in GME price that we saw over time since he exercised his June 21st options. As I sell shares I would buy CALLs in CHWY.

When trying to piece together the possibility of CHWY option gains funding the 9,001,000 share purchase, why look at dates beyond the June 24th date that triggered the 13G filing? Am I missing something? In his live stream, RK stated several times “Reserve your right to change your mind, just like I do”. It doesn’t always need to be mysterious and complicated. RK likely sold ALL 9,001,000 GME the day after his most recent YOLO post on June 13th. The OHLC price on the 14th was $28.97. Liquidating all GME shares would net over $260m.

Some context for completeness: @15:00 the jump from 200.000 -> 800.000 was due to a 4:1 split, so no increase there. Also, something else I haven't heard anyone address. An entry of 800.008 was observed on the ledger (meaning they were DRS'ed) on multiple occasions and thought to be Roaring Kitty's position. If so - and assuming he did subsequently not un-DRS - that would mean his $GME position is at least 9.001.000 + 800.008, almost 10M

Regarding chewy: 13G would also be required if he held call options. options/shares could have been sold before filing the 13G. I think 5% limit was only hitten after Chewys share repurchase on 27th?

What do you think about him building both of his positions in GME and CHWY at the same time using the same options strategy over the last 3-12 months? Looks like the share prices were around the same levels and therefore he could have built up cheap options positions in both during this time. This would also allow him to take advantage of the FTD cycles in xrt while everyone was really focused on gme he was building an “invisible” position in Chwy. He tested the algos in gme to see when the time was right it would work in Chwy. Maybe now that the purpose of chewy has run its “course”. (Kansas City shuffle ) his chewy positions disappear and will now emerge at the end of this week in gme. This might help explain how he could have funded and held to giant positions. With Chwy he knew he would have to disclose being over 5%- he wanted to get caught to distract from the move back to gme. Anyway that’s my “contribution” to the puzzle. Also having fun while this plays out, thanks for your videos

I don't think it lines up with what he said during his 7June livestream, which I take him at his word for. He said that was his only account and his only positions at the time (so that would nullify the 3-12Mo theory).

Erik, I really appreciate your daily videos analyaing Roaring Kitty position. I enjoy them so much! Just one thing to let you know.. Has anyone reported that your microphone is not so clear? When i watch your videos, I have to turn up the volume very high, and even so, the sound is not as sharp as it should. I am sorry, but I have been wanting to let you know about your microphone issues.. Maybe you can look into it, so the sound can get fixed? Thanks!

@@OutlierTrading Hmm.. I watch a lot of RU-vid videos, but when I watch yours (my favorite though!), I have to turn the volume up really high (almost three times higher than normal). Then when the ad starts in your video, I have to immediately turn the volume down otherwise the ad is too loud. I don't mean to complain, but I am an IT person so I notice technical issues. I just felt bad that you have such a good content but the microphone sounds a little bit muffled.. If nobody ever mentioned it, maybe it is not a big deal...

All gamestop had left was retail support. I think kitty is forcing Cohens hand. By retail turning their backs on GME the stock will quickly become worthless which will affect Cohens stake. Either, he will now decide to make a futuristic move with the companies cash and bring retail back or kitty can wait til gme goes to a dollar and take it over and do the changes himself.

he's saying that the inversion indicates an upcoming increasing volatility event. Volatility traders are those that have algos (or they're just quick by themeselves) that allows them to profit off this volatility, either by doing a bunch of small quick trades, or by selling option premiums, or various other ways (lots of strategies to make money off of volatility)

looks promising - i don't think it's quite as discrete as that though. markets are really smart and profit motivated. so i have a hard time seeing how they'd allow themselves to remain on the backfoot in such an observable pattern.

RK was trading CHWY all along (back to 2023??) and just went over reporting limit. This didnt happen in the month of June 2024. He also capitalized on CHWY for the past year, likely testing the share-call interaction when ETFs settle and capitalizing on OPEX quarters. His newest perfected style is to set the floor and buy higher calls to gamma. He also doesnt have to disclose all his accounts and all his money. I suspect he made most of his money on CHWY on May 1st and Dec 1st 2023 and who knows what else he has traded. We are seeing the tail wind from his CHWY purchase in May for mid-July and Richard also said we should see a slight bump on GME in mid-July.
