TCM Champion Steven Johnson talks about the new XD Falcon he and his Team Johnson squad have delivered - including the genesis of the car and the process required to get it on track.
TCM keeps me interested in racing, carsclike the XD and drivers are the reason. Super cars lost my interst ages ago. Doesn't matter about brand allegiances, pick any a river or car that holds your interst on the day and Barrick for them.
True Blue & Dick Johnson & ( Steve ) love ❤️ what this family have brought 2 the Rev Head Scene. I know where there is a one owner XA Coupe . I am sworn 2 secrecy as 2 where it is .
Awesome car. I will always remember DJ’s safe driving advice, might have been an ad campaign or him being interviewed about high speed crashes. He said if everyone paid attention to the road like they were going 160km/h no matter what speed they’re doing there would be a whole lot less road accidents. Something to that effect. I have applied this rule to my driving since I got my license at 16. Love the Tru Blu❤️
the name Tony Hunter ,was he involved in a racing incident where a wheel broke and killed a spectator many many years ago ,i recall reading about this but maybe im wrong ,very sad state of affairs
The blue XD was the first touring car I ever watched on tv as a youngster in the early 80s. This means a lot to me. The XD looks every bit as smart today as it did then.
xd are rare but not that hard to find car sales. com always has em but like anything things rare and in good condition are worth money in most cases anyway
Bathurst 2021. Touring Car Masters. The return of the LEGENDS. True Blue XD Falcon 3 & Junior Johnson. Extra security should be on top of mountain to keep an eye on the Opel fans so a repeat of the infamous 'Rock' tradgedy don't happen again. Go True Blue.
Technology is killing this series as well it seems. Unpredictability was what made the old production / group c cars more exciting than any other form of racing in the day.
OMG, ya look more and more like ya old man every day, that's a God thing 👍 The fact you Johnson guys are loyal to a brand that didn't support you, but you supported the brand. That's total respect!!!!!
BA front has aged abhorrently, it looks way too generic. The BFII with it's larger more brooding headlights addressed that problem effectively in my eyes. An underrated under recognised model. The FG looks good only in certain guises with the more upmarket taillights. It's such a damned good car that was criminally under sold by Ford. A model that finally felt as nice as a Commodore to drive.
