Inside The $400 Million Airbus A350-1000 Plane
0:00 - Intro
This is the Airbus A350-1000, an aircraft that has redefined the boundaries of long-haul travel. Stay with us till the end of the video because here is everything you need to know about the Airbus A350-1000.
1:22 - Cabin
The Airbus A350-1000 cabin is spacious, and usually features a typical 3-class configuration that accommodates around 350 to 410 passengers.
The Airbus A350-1000 interior is engineered for a quieter travel experience. Additionally, the aircraft uses advanced noise-reducing materials in the fuselage, managing to keep cabin noise levels significantly lower than many of its competitors.
The pressurization system is one of the highlights, with a cabin altitude pressure equivalent to about 6,500 feet or 2,000 meters. The air quality is further enhanced by HEPA filters and a modern air conditioning system that refreshes the cabin air every 2-3 minutes.
In economy class, the seat pitch typically ranges between 31 to 36 inches or 78 to 91 centimeters. In business class, the seats usually transform into fully flat beds with a pitch of up to 80 inches or 203 centimeters.
The aircraft employs an innovative mood lighting system that can mimic natural phenomena like sunrise and sunset.
With high-definition touchscreen monitors ranging between 11 to 18 inches, the in-flight entertainment system offers a wide variety of choices from movies to real-time flight data. Wi-Fi connectivity and USB charging ports are generally standard.
The compartments are designed for maximum space utilization, allowing for more baggage while retaining an uncluttered look and feel for the cabin.
Last but not least, the lavatories offer a decent amount of space and come equipped with touchless faucets and antibacterial surfaces.
4:30 - Cockpit
The Airbus A350-1000 cockpit is spaciously designed. It follows the side-stick design philosophy Airbus has championed. The layout is streamlined and follows a dark color scheme.
The Airbus A350-1000 cockpit boasts six large LCD displays, each measuring 15 inches diagonally. The PFD and ND are particularly well-designed, offering bright, clear, and easily readable data.
The FMS is based on the Thales Avionics' TopFlight FMS, integrating multiple functions ranging from navigation and performance computations to systems monitoring. Pilots can input data using a cursor control device, which is a trackball located conveniently between the two pilots, or through the Onboard Information System, which operates much like a tablet and allows for intuitive data entry and retrieval.
The A350-1000 features a highly sophisticated autopilot and autothrottle system. The systems are capable of CAT III autoland, effectively allowing the plane to land itself in low-visibility conditions down to decision heights of just 50 feet or 15.24 meters.
The optional Head-Up Display extends the capabilities of the cockpit further.
Integrated into the cockpit is an EFB, which replaces the traditional, cumbersome paper charts and manuals.
The cockpit is equipped with advanced communication systems, such as the VHF and HF radios, as well as the latest in SATCOM. The CPDLC feature allows for text-based communication with air traffic control.
6:56 - Engine, Performance Specs, and Flying Experience
Now, let’s talk about the engine, performance specifications, and how it flies. The powerhouse of the Airbus A350-1000 is the Rolls-Royce Trent XWB-97 engine. This is the most powerful engine ever developed for an Airbus aircraft, with a maximum thrust of 97,000 pounds-force. The aircraft requires about 8,500 feet or 2,600 meters at maximum takeoff weight to lift off the ground.
Once airborne, the A350-1000 boasts an impressive rate of climb. It can ascend at a rate per minute of approximately 3,500 feet 1,067 meters when fully laden.
In terms of altitude, the plane has a maximum service ceiling of 41,000 feet or 12,500 meters.
The aircraft's maximum cruise speed is around Mach 0.89, which is approximately 677 miles per hour or 1,090 kilometers per hour.
The Airbus A350-1000 can fly up to 8,700 nautical miles or 16,110 kilometers without refueling.
The Airbus A350-1000 can carry a maximum payload of approximately 253,500 pounds or 115,000 kilograms.
The Airbus A350-1000 typically requires a landing distance of approximately 6,300 feet or 1,920 meters at maximum landing weight.
9:32 - Purchase and Charter Price
And finally, the base purchase price for a new Airbus A350-1000 is $366 million before options.

With respect A350-1000 is next-level compared to B777-300ER. This aircraft will be relevant for many years to come & will limit to great affect B777X sales due to it`s lightness, fuel efficiency, & size.

@@ImperialDiecastthe 787-10 isn't even in the same class as A35K, actually none of the 787s are in the same class as the A350. The only overlap is A350-900 against B787-10 but A350-900 outclassed the 787-10 in every way

There must be a guy like me in every plane in America. I'm the guy who can get if for you; cigarettes, a bag of reefer, if that's your thing, a bottle of brandy to celebrate your kid's high school graduation, darn near anything within reason.

Flew an a350 from jfk to Seoul Asiana 15 hours landed at 330 am New York time and I was able to work for 8 hours without feeling drained..the cabin is not bone dry the engines are quiet will always find an a350 for Long haul from now..Boeing is just a joke run by junior varsity high school accountants..they build planes to be cute and get social media attention instead of sturdy and practical..look at the 787 flex wings now you are seeing almost all the aircraft reporting heavy turbulence at high altitude and landing are Dreamliners why? Between this and the 737 max which needs software built to fly the space shuttle to fly correctly at takeoff without stalling and crashing into the ground no thank you
@mcmuffin-z5v
@mcmuffin-z5v Месяц назад
You do realize that the more flexible the wings are the more study, cooler, aero efficient they are, the 787 is as quiet or quieter than the a350, just look at those convex engines designs, boeing is still a great company but they’ve just had bad leadership in the past 20 years and that’s looking to change, just look at how successful the 777 program was. Flight experience doesn’t come from the airframe only it comes from the airline and their service.
